I don't remember if it was about the stimulus, or the deficit, or cash for clunkers, or even health care...

but it was a video where a dad makes his toddler son cry because he's telling the kid they are spending his money for themselves.

Anyone know where to find it?

I remember the video but not the exact topic or where to find it either. Its goes something like

Dad: Thats right, we are spending YOUR money! You will have to pay it back not me.

Kid: Thats not true dad! STOP IT! *proceeds to cry as father insists the government is taking his money*

My aunt even remembers this. I think it was out before the 2008 election...

i remember this video as being about the bailouts or the debt.

i never liked the video because the kid had no idea what he was crying about, yet the father made the boy cry. WTF

there's no WTF there...

The dad was honest. They were going to spend the kid's future money. The boy protested that the money was his and not theirs, that he didn't have that money, and it wasn't fair.

The kid clearly understood the concept.



I would have cried too.
