Honestly, I don't think this is a bad idea really. I have always maintained that we have viable campaigns and educational campaigns. That money should be poured into the campaigns that we have a shot at winning, and the educational campaigns should be funded just enough to spread the message, until they become viable, which does occasionally happen. Medina is a good example.

But one thing I have not thought much about is novelty campaigns. Campaigns with quirky and often populist elements based largely on personality that appeal to the masses. Usually they are not successful, but sometimes they can be. Jesse Ventura was successful in this. Kinky Friedman was also but to a lesser degree.

We should look into it. For real.
