I've seem a lot of conversation around how voting machines are unreliable and don't leave a paper trail, but I have a bigger concern. When I voted in 06, we used voting machines. When I checked in, they looked me up, wrote down a registration number next to my name and on a piece of paper that I then entered into the machine to vote.
So now they have a number next to my name and how I voted. What is to say they aren't keeping records of how we vote? How do we know they aren't currently or plan to use this against us?
