I was born in the 19th richest county (Santa Clara) in the good ole' US of A!!!

Wow I work in #24. Had no clue. My salary certainly isn't an indicator.

The list is sickening. I counted about 50% that I could identify as predominantly government or government contracting areas. I bet it's even more if one looked closer.

Are you shocked by this? Where do you think all that money goes? We'd probably actually wind up better off if it literally went down the drain.

Not shocked. I already knew that Loudoun County, Va was #1 for median income. I didn't know that so many other government areas were up so high, though.

Keep in mind:

Those New York City Exurbs are filled with bailout/handout taxpayer IOUs so that along with the D.C. leeches mean most of America's wealth is taxpayer money.

Yeah I noticed that too. Lots of VA and Maryland in there. NY too but there is great deal of commerce in NY.

The VA and MD stuff are all govt related grrr... :mad:
