More good material with accurate predictions from Paul on the upcoming war.

PBS definitely does quality reporting. Its a shame most people get their news from more entertaining sources.

I wish Jim Lehrer were moderating a debate again...

I'm sure PBS and Jim Lehrer will host debates at some point. The News Hour on PBS is by leaps and bounds the best TV news broadcast. It's really not even a contest.

Jim Lehrer is a terrible moderator who doesn't challenge the candidates.

Jim Lehrer is a terrible moderator who doesn't challenge the candidates.

Personally, I don't think that's the role of a moderator. I think the candidates ought to challenge each other, with the moderator acting as a referee.

One thing I'm pretty certain of, if Jim Lehrer were moderating you wouldn't see the annointed media darlings getting 3 times as much talk time as the "fringe" candidates.

That's right, you wouldn't, because in the CPD debates hosted by Jim Lehrer, fringe candidates are EXCLUDED. The Republican and Democrat parties use the CPD to collude and exclude third party candidates, and to ensure that only certain questions get asked. The candidates are prohibited from challenging each other, and asking a question of their opponent is a violation of the rules of the debate. The two candidates draft a memorandum of understanding that has very specific rules about what can and can't be brought up. Jim Lehrer allows candidates to get by without answering the question and is not a good moderator.

Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp3PcUGtaJQ

Fastforward to 1:25 to see Jim Lehrer stifling debate by enforcing the CPD rules.

Thanks for sharing that.

While I was watching that interview, all I could think was, "Wow...what if the MSM had asked the hard questions, what if Ron Paul had gotten more exposure". What a shame.

Makes me prouder than ever to support RP, hearing his reasoned, informed approach to the debate (or lack thereof) before the war.

Great interview indeed.

Again, Ron Paul was right on target.

yeah, very cool, more proof of someone who really just sticks to their guns whether there is support or not
