He must've have forked over a fortune to google, because whenever I read my gmail or look at a politically related page with google ads I see nothing but Huckabee for president advertisements. Maybe we should start buying our own google space. Next chip-in? :)

no way man.... i appreciate the enthusiasm, but we got the net covered, we own this place... if the huckster wants to spend his only million trying to claim our land, good luck to him....

we need to use our resources to reach the masses off line.... we have to reach for the low hanging fruit --- those who have never heard of ron paul still.... especially registered republicans in key states.

everyone else is not a priority, and the internet is certainly not worth spending money on...

just my 2c ;)

We don't need to buy any ads. Just make sure to click on Huckabee's and McCain's ads everywhere you see them. :)

they probably wouldn't be a good return on investment,
think lot of people have learned to glance over them

No need to pay for any advertising on the internet. Ron has 1000 times the internet presence as all other candidates combined, including their paid advertising. We need to focus on real world advertising.

It's just his campaign people being stupid. "Oh Damn! Ron Paul raised 5 million using the internet! We need to use the internet too! What can we do? I have an Idea, let's buy some internet ads!"

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!

We already own the NET.

Money should be spent on non Internet advertising. Television and Radio especially, that's where it is needed most.

I agree 10,000% as anyone with a good brain should.

Hmmm.... When you buy a Google ad you have to pay each time someone clicks on it... Hmmm....

Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? *cough*click the ads*cough*

I clicked on a Huckabee link and found an editorial posted September 25th (pre-Q3 numbers) entitled, "This Election Cannot Be About Electability (http://anonym.to/?http://www.mikehuckabee.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Blogs.View&Blog_id=478)."

Apparently he had five million reasons to abandon the idea of electability not determining the Republican nominee when he criticized RP as being "unelectable."

maybe Patrick Ruffini has been hired by him to give internet guidance for "rightroots" or whatever he is calling that, the guy doesn't even understand the internet and calls himself an adviser :)

reading this comment scared me:

What? How can you say that "God doesn’t give a damn (literally!) about which party or candidate wins the next election."? If He knows the number of hairs on our head, I think He definitely cares about who is going to govern our country. I believe that it matters to God if we have a President who will lead based on principles from His Word, rather than having a President who will allow the further decline of our country by supporting abortion, "gay marriage," and other sins.
Because "his word" was so clear on abortion and gay marriage:rolleyes: ...

I justed entered "GOP" in google search and a "Ron Paul for President" google ad to www.ronpaul2008.com (http://www.ronpaul2008.com) showed up!

Subtitle is:
He Will Stop he War
But He Needs Your Help

Is this the official campaign that sponsored the ad? Has it been running for long? Anyone know?

It is true that no Republican candidate will come close to the support we have, but my fear is that there are forums without Ron Paul data in them and we should find them. Every popular forum on every subject should have some kind of Ron Paul presence to catch as many people as we can.

Think about it. We know Oprah is advocating Obama, but what would happen if Ron Paul is the talk of her fan forums. That would cause a stir.

You know what to do!

If people can report back about the particularities of various sites,
in particular how to spread message effectively, that would help.

oh - and to you that say we "own the Internet", we have something like 0.05% of MySpace, and that's after factoring out the spammers and inactive accounts... lots of low hanging fruit in those parts still...
