New Mexicans Call for an End to the LujŠn-Pelosi-Reid Spending Spree

SANTA FE, NM - February 25th, 2010. Voters in New Mexico want new representation in Washington, a recent independent poll (http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_NM_225.pdf) has shown. After US Rep. Ben Ray LujŠn (D-NM) voted to take 2% of the salaries of New Mexicans without health insurance (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll882.xml), 42% of voters in New Mexico's Third District disapprove of him as a Congressman. LujŠn has the "poorest" approval rating of any New Mexico Congressman, with only 31% of voters approving.

"With Lujan's surging disapproval, I will send him packing in November," says Republican challenger Adam Kokesh. Mr. Kokesh understands that New Mexico businesses create jobs, not politicians. "As your next Congressman, I will hold the line against waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending."

Adam questions LujŠn's fairness in wanting to penalize New Mexicans without health insurance. He represents an honest and trustworthy change. He will represent the opinions of the people, not stand with out-of-touch politicos like LujŠn taking orders from Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

The PPP (http://publicpolicypolling.com/) poll showed Congressman LujŠn with a weaker base of support against Kokesh than his primary opponent. The 76% moderate/conservative number is similar to the poll numbers (http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_MA_117468963846.pdf) in Massachusetts on the eve of Republican Scott Brown's Senate victory. Public Policy Polling (http://publicpolicypolling.com/) surveyed 400 voters in New Mexico's Third Congressional District from February 18th to 20th.

One of the Republicans fighting for the right to take on LujŠn in November, Adam Kokesh, has the backing of the Ron Paul army. The energy and passion of that movement has been aimed at tearing down LujŠn Ė and while the poll gives no indication that itís succeeding in building a significant level of support for Kokesh, at least yet, maybe it is succeeding in tearing down LujŠn.

"Ron Paul army" - has a nice ring to it!
