According to the threads on this forum the people have been "waking up" for two and a half years now. Unfortunately the government has only become bigger and more oppressive.

Elites have miscalculated, just like the elites in the failed empires of the past.

Back to the drawing board I suppose for them.

Yes, but now it's showing up in National MSM polls.

The survey indicates a partisan divide on the question: only 37 percent of Democrats, 63 percent of Independents and nearly 7 in 10 Republicans say the federal government poses a threat to the rights of Americans.

only 7-10% Republicans? what the hell...

Nearly 7 out of 10 is nearly 70% not 7-10%.

Not necessarily, my post from the other thread:

The survey indicates a partisan divide on the question: only 37 percent of Democrats, 63 percent of Independents and nearly 7 in 10 Republicans say the federal government poses a threat to the rights of Americans.

I wonder what the percentage for Democrats would be under the Bush Administration and Republican majority.

Likewise I wonder what the percentage of Republicans would be if their party was in power.

But this is good. If people were honest in their dislike/distrust of the Federal government, these sentiments would translate to a move towards state's rights / secession.

According to CNN poll numbers released Sunday, Americans overwhelmingly think that the U.S. government is broken - though the public overwhelmingly holds out hope that what's broken can be fixed.

Oh I see. Heads are still stuck in the ground I guess. That hope needs to die.
Hopefully that is just CNN spin.
