Is there anyone else running? Anyone like any of these people?

My understanding is Jeb Bush's people are controlling Rubio, and Crist is Crist. I need to study up more on Rubio's positions, but he just seems like GOP Obama reincarnated at this point.

Crist: Neo-Con reminiscent of McCain, supported stimulus package, would be a moderate Republican.

Rubio: Neo-Con, would likely vote in lock-step with Republicans on pretty much everything.

Neither are freedom candidates, but Rubio is a hair better than Crist.

Rubio over Crist. Demint's true fiscal conservative support might help many of our candidates or at least we are going to need the support of voters who think like him. Might as well vote for his boy if there isn't a better candidate in the primary.

That being said, I don't see him as anything special, and not a step forward for liberty. But I don't see him as a step backwards either. If I lived in Flordia he would get my vote, but not my money.

Sincerely,

Slutter McGee

I don't really disagree with anything he says on his website except for the line item veto. But the fact is he doesn't talk about the war, bailout or civil liberties. It is like he is trying to take the liberty vote without being specific. It is as though he is trying to hide something. I want him to be more specific on those issues.

+1

But for whatever reason people here think he is the tea party candidate.

blech...

Problem is, Crist is probably the biggest RINO in the country. The Republican party in FL is really non-existent outside of Military and Old Money.

For whatever reason, the Dems down here decided to paint themselves Red and call themselves conservatives.

Rubio is only going to be an extension of that false choice. Its a way to keep the state Red while ushering in more socialist agendas.

FL really needs to set the example as a grassroots kind of state. Problem is, this state is so anti-youth. We'll need uprisings like we had in Orlando back in '07 when the Ron Paul folks nearly overthru the GOP. Funny thing is, many of those same folks are split over Rubio. I think some like him because he's not Charlie Crist, many like him because he's not C4L sponsored, for most I think like me, its going to be apathy because there really is nothing to get excited about for any of these candidates at that level.

He doesn't want anyone withdrawn from Afghanistan, period. He doesn't want to talk to any nations and believes we should keep all of the weapons we have. I'll pass.

Rubio is the lesser of two evils here, but that is all he is. No one should be tricked into thinking he's a decent candidate, he just happens to be better than Crist.
