Well, of course, they all look different, just like the rest of us. That said, here's an interesting one:

I found myself agreeing quite often with Zora Hurston, particularly when she said that right after WWII that we should examine our imperialistic policies and when she said in the 'fifties that Brown v. Board of Education should not cause us to disparage the education that got provided to ethnic children in certain parts of the South during the bad old days of Jim Crow--some schools, despite a criminal lack of resources beyond the faculty's wit and determination, did an amazing job. I like the lady.

You know, watching the episode got me thinking how much easier it is to get a herd of sheep fired up compared to an equal number of rugged individualistic individuals. Of course, we're finding the latter a little easier these days, since we're starting to feel cornered like rats. But the liberals will say we're being negative.

And I think I know what to do about that, apparently with Ms. Hurston's invaluable, if posthumous, help. They say we're negative because they think they can help people and we say they can't. Well, the truth is they're negative because they think the vast majority of people would still need help even if this was still the land of opportunity, and we say opportunity is all most people need to thrive. Now, which is more negative, a culture that says people are capable (which would be us) or a culture that says people are victims?!

Just a thought.

Black libertarians look like ten-year-olds playing ring-around-the-posse?

I don't get it.

Baptist - he is talking about Zora Neale Hurston, the folklorist and author.

I have actually never heard of this person before, thanks for the heads up, I'll look up her works sometime.

A (enter collectivist group here) libertarian is an oxy-moron.
