Awesome. A HuffPo writer defends the RP exchange with Bernanke.

I remember when the Debates were going on in 2008 and each candidate was allowed to ask one question to another candidate in one of them. Ron asked McCain a question about the President's Working Group, etc., and completely befuddled him, along with pretty much everybody else. Me, included. Some posters were going "Ron could have asked a much better question". It wasn't until a few days later that I realized that the question he had asked was intended not for McCain, but for the American People to look up themselves. It was like he was planting bread crumbs for us.
I remember another video where he was grilling Bernanke. I understood that he was grilling Bernanke, and that Ben was uncomfortable, but I couldn't get the why part, at least not with the knowledge I've gained over the years on this forum and elsewhere. Looking back at that video now, it's amazing how much more I get out of the exchange between the two. I'm sure I am not explaining myself clearly, but I wonder if others have felt the same way.
The exchange Ron had with Bernanke today hasn't made the waves I thought it would here, given that he asked questions relating to WaterGate and Saddam Hussein, as well as whether we would bail out Greece). Most outlets were ready to mock him immediately, but as you can see by this story via WSJ, at least one of the negative commentators starts thinking twice and concedes that he doesn't know for certain, asking for links to help him gather more info.
What I'm trying to get at is that Ron is a hell of a lot smarter than most people give him credit for, including us at times, and I am wondering if this is a calculated question on his part to get people talking about the Fed's potential role in Watergate, in dealings with Saddam Hussein, with the Bailouts, and now with Greece possibly. Watergate just seemed to come out of nowhere.
