All you need is another $100, and I'll cover the rest.

we need $1,000 more for another ad version
that is going to highlight the announcement more
than the current version of the ad

I'm thinking that talk radio ads would be most effective in reaching the older conservative VOTER.

Why does my chip-o-meter read at only 82%?

Someone else said it was 96%.

It's definitely too late to run radio ads, we'd need to record one that mentions the deadline, then buy the airtime. Media buying for radio ads takes a long time.

However, since we already have a newspaper ad ready-to-go that meets the specifications for publishing, we can get it published with as little as 1-2 days notice.

In the end, however much money we collect is how many ads we'll be able to buy. If an additional ad costs a couple $100 more, I will get it.

So whatever $2,250 can get us, or if we can raise more... we'll buy all the advertising we can. Again, if we can sneak another print ad in for a couple hundred more, I'll spend my money and get it.

If someone can put together a radio ad together about the deadline
before the 12th let me know, I'll help get the word out!

Clear your cache and then check the chip-in again after that. It is at 96%.

I'm going to go with what skiingff said. We don't have enough time to do the media buy for a radio ad.

I would think that what we have would be enough, but if you want an Ad that just tells people in big, bold letters about the impending cutoff date, I'm sure that would be great.

What browser do you use? If you use Firefox, go to Tools -- Clear Private Data --- then uncheck everything but "Cache" --- then, press "Clear Private Data Now"

Just chipped in and it's now at 104%!

I'm going to change the chip-in to $2,500 and that's it. My credit cards won't allow me to buy much more (I have to buy these ads on my personal credit cards and reimburse myself by transferring from PayPal to my bank). So I'll call around AS SOON AS the newspapers open their doors first thing tomorrow morning, and report what I could buy with the money and how much each ad cost.

We know, for a fact, the Concord Monitor ad is $511.88. I'm assuming the newspapers with similar circulations and readerships will be around the same price, but I only arranged it with the Monitor because I had NO IDEA we'd be raising $2,000+. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Union-Leader will be the most expensive because obviously it's readership is a lot higher. So it may even be double the cost of the Monitor, or more. How much more money trickles in between now and tom. morning will determine ad placement, # of ads, and in which newspapers they go in.

I'll let everyone know as soon as I can.

To quote Ron Paul, THANKS A MILLION!!!!!!!!!!

No, it can't be moved back. That would be misleading to "disappear" some of the money donated. Talk to skiing, what he can do is bump up the maximum, I think.

LOL no I didn't mean subtract money, I mean increasing the maximum. :)

I'm sure there is a huge audience out there that is willing to fork over hundreds if not thousands to let the Dems know what is happening

Only $130 more and I give up on the fundraising push!!!

That will make it an even $2,500.

We will publish in:
Union-Leader
Concord Monitor
Nashua Telegraph
Foster's Daily Democrat

Can we add the Portsmouth Herald to that list!?!?

Do we want to do Union Leader with this add? I would say no – highlighting the war is probably the wrong emphasis for that crowd. Plus that crowd (conservative) can be targeted later.

Yup. You want to do the UL too, IMNSHO.

a) It's the state's only state-wide paper - adds prestige.

b) There are lots of Republicans here that are against the war.

c) Adding that one on top of nearly all the secondary ones (think of the Keene Sentinel, as well - a heavy liberal audience) makes for a SUPERB press release.

I would say hell yes to the Union Leader, its the biggest paper in the state :D

Although Bush won the state in 2000, it went Blue in 2004:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2004_US_elections_map_electoral_votes.png

We need to do atleast one reach for Dems after that we can concentrate on Independants and Republicans.

If we don't do the largest paper in the state, we almost have to question why we did this in the first place? The
war is the number one issue right now, if we can't win on the anti-war message in NH hmm, I think the rest
of the country would have trouble.

We need the Union Leader, although I agree with Eric21ND about the college paper targeting students. What would work is the Largest state paper and some of the smaller college town papers, If there is money left the bigger the regional papers the better.
