[I]f the Conservative Political Action Conference that ends ups with a straw poll vote saying that Ron Paul is the nominee of the party for president, something’s gone haywire there. That’s not a conservative conference.

No connection. They post interesting stories and give the liberty movement more than its fair share of coverage.

Matt Collins actually owns that site and secretly plots to use RP forums and his fake identity to drive the probably 10 or so hits to the articles there so that he can make an extra 14 cents per article and then go to Vegas and put it all on his favorite number for roulette and become a millionaire.

I just pwnt Mark Rogers in the comments.Thank you.

He's the local Republican neocon pseudo-intellectual and self-described "Hamiltonian" who really belongs in the Democrat Party but hasn't figured it out yet. Funny thing is he attends a lot of liberty movement events in town and usually ends up in verbal fights with people because he continues to advocate big government at these events.

Even funnier is that he almost got punched in the face once because he was a bit intoxicated and shot his mouth off at a Liberty On The Rocks (http://libertyontherocks.org) meetup. Yelling across the bar "Matt, I like your friends but they are all traitors" following a heated a foreign policy discussion didn't quite sit well with Mr. Rich Hamblen (a military officer who served jail time for upholding the 2nd Amendment) (http://www.esnips.com/web/HamblenvsUnitedStates) and others who had been in the military but have come to realize that a small government/humble foreign policy was imperative to freedom.

He also objected at a local Republican Party meeting to my suggestion of bringing someone in from the Mises Institute to give an anti-Obama economics lecture as an official Party event. Again yelling across the room at the board meeting he quipped that "if they are affiliated with Lew Rockwell then we can't have them because they are all Lincoln haters".

Can anybody here actually imagine Japan taking over China?

It seems like a really absurd notion to me. Is there any justification for this? I mean, I can imagine Japan taking out the Chinese government at their capital in Beijing, but I don't imagine that the entire country would just suddenly start paying homage to the Japanese leadership.

He's right...it's obviously not a conservative conference. It's a liberty conference.

Can anybody here actually imagine Japan taking over China? They'd be able to take over China for about as long as Germany took over France. In fact it would probably be a lot less since the Chinese have a bit more of a warrior spirit in them than do the French.
