(Newser) – Criticize the tea party from afar, and you may find yourself rubbing shoulders with its members shortly thereafter: The Dallas Tea Party has challenged Keith Olbermann to take a firsthand look at what the movement is really about after the MSNBC host criticized its lack of diversity. “How many black faces do you see at these events?” Olbermann wondered on his show in a clip highlighted in a tea party web video. “Well, Keith,” goes the response, “we see a whole lot more at our events than we see at MSNBC.”

The video then shows a image of MSNBC’s admittedly pasty on-air talent, Politico (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/33305.html) notes. "Something tells me you’ve never been to a tea party,” the video continues. “We think you need to get out of your bubble.” The Dallas Tea Party then invites Olbermann to the one-year anniversary of its first protest, on Saturday. The video ends with a fitting Olbermann-ism. “ If you don’t show, have you no shame, sir?”

Why waste time on him? H'e completely irrational by holding such a partisan bias. Like ALL other partisans he informs himself as a loyal Democrat who tries to find whatever information he can on Republicans that will destroy them and or make them look bad. How can that be rational? He's not trying to inform himself for the sake of edification and honest truth seeking in an objective manner. He's informing just to find whatever information will fit into his world view that is already rock solid established with absolutely no flexibility and no ability to adjust to new truths.
So sad that he has such a good talking voice, is relatively good looking, and has a quick wit. It's all wasted on puff and hyperboly.

Who cares? Don't play their game. And what's wrong with caucasians? Other than "pasty[ness]"?

They're trying to find a way to label the Tea Parties as racist so if they're aren't any black people in the rallies (and they're rallying against a black President) then clearly race is a motive

Why does "diversity", the way most people understand it, only pertain to appearances and other surface differences?
The fact is that no two people are alike in temperment, personality, likes, dislikes, etc. even if they look almost identical. We have a completely flawed and erroneous conception of what constitutes "diversity" when we fail to realize that diversity is inevitable and omnipresent in nature and humankind.

Wait, are you saying that humans are individuals with unique worldviews that have little to nothing to do with the tone of their skin?
How dare you question the wisdom of a former SportsCenter anchor!

Olbermann is just another partisan hack like Hannity. No need to pay attention to then.

"Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans only as members of groups and never as individuals. Racists believe that all individual who share superficial physical characteristics are alike; as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism. Their intense focus on race is inherently racist, because it views individuals only as members of racial groups." - RP

I do hate the implication that an idea or movement gains its legitimacy by having minorities. I don't care if I'm with 100% whites or if I'm the only white. Truth knows no color.
