:D I finally got a chance recently to see them. While I support Ron Paul I really think this video convinced me that monetary reform would solve a lot of problems inherently. If people are educated on the matter I think reform will be more forefront. I honestly believe it is the biggest problem in America simply because reform would fix so many of the problems today.

I saw both and liked portions of both.

Money Masters disagrees with Ron Paul in the aspect of Fiat Currency though.

Keep in mind that Bill Stills, who made Money Masters, is an advocate of Fiat currency. He and Dr. Paul are pretty far apart on the whole thing really.

Here's a video about the Federal Reserve, made by the Mises Institute:

If "Money as Debt" is the movie that I'm thinking of, it plays pretty regularly on one of the DISH channels I get.

Lots of people disagree about fiat currency. Apparently it is an antiquated concept.

I've seen "The Money Masters". Pretty good expose on the central banks, though I'm not sure I agree with him on fiat currency, as some others here have mentioned.

Another interesting film about our current financial troubles is "Maxed Out". It deals with usury and our debt problems.

I agree that a silver standard would be nice. The problem is, who will have the silver. A money grab will occur in the event of a conversion to silver. There is nothing preventing the Federal Reserve from buying up overwhelming amounts of silver before a transistion. But I think most importantly most people have no clue about silver but know a lot about endless debt. While I'm not aware there are downsides too fiat currency there is siginificantly more accountability than there is with the Federal Reserve. No matter what the new standard is we need monetary reform period. And like I said earlier solving the money problem will solve a lot of other problems in the process.

Thanks, exactly, beat me too it.

Check out some of Dr. Paul's books online too:

Yes, but even better, have you all read The Creature From Jekyll Island (http://www.amazon.com/Creature-Jekyll-Island-Federal-Reserve/dp/0912986395/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-0167899-2034403?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191793554&sr=8-1) by G. Edward Griffin? It's an astounding look into the Fed and our corrupt money system. It's much better than either of these documentary's.
