Did anyone catch Carville on Anderson Cooper? He said that you can't count out RP after the other commentator kept talking about how good Romney did with his 22%.

For all of the Carville haters, people who watch Larry King, most of them, don't watch all of the political shows, so this is a positive thing for Dr. Paul.

I love Dr. Paul. James Carville calls him "Dr. Paul". He is showing respect to my hero. While I don't agree with Carville on many issues: I respect him.

did anyone get the feeling that CNN was planning on having Carville and Paul (or at least Ron) on again - perhaps almost as a regular "mouthpiece" of the republican party

I'd give Gary Johnson of New Mexico a shot:

the Daily Show just did a 6 minute segment on CPAC skewering "conservatives", and no mention of Ron Paul...maybe they'll bring it up later in the show but I doubt it.

edit: and then another 6 or so minutes on Beck's idiocy. What an easy target. Still no mention of the straw poll which was the top political headline for over a day.

He looked presidential here.

That's because whether they like it or not Ron's going to get the GOP nomination.

I really like Gary but he wouldn't have as good a chance. Name recognition is key and Ron Paul's got it. They have to know you, they have to like you.

Former Governor with his own 501c. Give him another year.

I hope he can endorse and endorses Rand.

He can't because of the 501c.

No derailing intended, but Johnson really doesn't get me excited. Paul can speak so beautifully and he always hits me with passion. Gary is just too passive. Get ANNNNGGGGRRRRYYY Gary!

Being grumpy and high pitch yelling is not a way to win over voters. Trust me. I talk about Rand Paul and people always say "I like what he says but, he comes off as a whiny old man." I think his style is witty and very appealing to the masses.

I think it would be good if Gary and Ron both ran. It would give Gary some much needed name recognition to add to his excellent resume. Then after a few primary debates, if he's not polling that great, he could drop out and not only throw his support to Ron but be in a good position to be an asset as Ron's running mate.

I thought it was a great interview. Dr Paul looked great in a new suit and his points were pertinent, confident and on topic. Carville was extremely respectful toward him. They aired the segment directly AFTER King's interview with the Dalai Lama.

I do believe they are taking him much more seriously this time around.

A little troubled by this comment made by Ron Paul in response to the 2012 question: "I've never really wanted to be in office".

As much of a slimeball as Carville is, he's got alot of class.
