Since conservatives love Reagan so much (even though Reagan wasn't perfect, even he would be spinning in his grave over what the Republican party looks like today), I suggest the oldie but goodie:

"Two Rons make a Right"

It should resonate well within the GOP.

I'm not sure who thought it up, though, or I'd give credit to the original author.

"Ron Paul: He'd Have Fancy Signs if he took corporate money"

Just a few ideas.

The problem with the "Who is Ron Paul" campaign is that a lot of people ended up not ever getting the answer to the question. (That and many missed the John Gault joke including myself at the time). I like the "You are Ron Paul" idea. It could tie into the famous scene from Spartucus.

YouTube - Spartacus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOCsNrzlV2k)

Another idea could be to tie into the Ron Paul "What if" speech. All sorts of slogans like "What if the government actually lived within its means" or "What if we quit funding both sides of armed conflicts" or "What if the first 10 amendments actually mean what they say including the 2nd"?

Fifth Avenue gets alot of ad campaigns wrong - and at considerable expense to the corporate consumer and ultimately the product purchaser.

"The Ron Paul Blimp was an aerial billboard launched in December 2007 with considerable publicity.
It was emblazoned on one side with "Who is Ron Paul? Google Ron Paul" and, on the other, "Ron Paul Revolution."
At 200 feet (61 m) long, the blimp was longer than the Goodyear Blimp . . ."

That I go to class and have studied commercials?

But no, you're right. Saying trust me is actually a social tactic to place the responsibility on me, making it easier for you to accept. Granted I was just talking like I normally do, but if I stop and analyze even my own way of speaking, then yes you could say I use these 'tricks' in my everyday life.

Personally, I think each person is different, and some slogans work better then others for certain people. Slogans are good for signs, so optimally they should be short. We don't want a 'slogan' that is a struggle to remember (like over 6 words or something)

So you know.. just inserting my college-educated 2-cents

So you know.. just inserting my college-educated 2-cents

Nahh . . . "trust you" that your classes have helped you to understand as much as you may need to evaluate campaign slogan ideas -
as that is what directly precceded your trust me . . . and your spelling for that matter.

But, as long as you need to spot-light your education . . . and how you judge the post suggestions here,
then . . . for you- be sure to touch up on spelling errors when writing your ads . . . unless used on purpose for some advertising effect.

et cetera IS abbreviated etc. - so if you just made as an inadvertent typo you DID that twice - no big deal.

So, "I have gone to marketing classes . . . trust me" . . . does sound alot like . . . a bit in jest like
"I am one of the five senators of "The Keating Five" accused of corruption in 1989,
igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. . . . so "Trust me"

Good luck with the college thing.

Hey, nobody's perfect. I do know tricks of what sounds appealing. I have never claimed to be the best speller, but I do have consulting references where I have consolidated information to specifically target an audience.

But I don't want to turn this into a petty flame-war. Lets stick to the topic.

One other thing I thought of was "the internet's president" or something like that. Anyway, lets keep the ball rolling...

Ok, I didn't mean to hate on my Ron Paul ppl, I was just being honest. Honestly I think we already have enough slogans. More slogans will come. People will find their own way to express their desire for Ron Paul. I'm excited to see the artwork especially.

But remember, the important thing is to go out and vote, and get those voters out on voting day. We need to get everybody out, registered republican, and supporting Ron Paul. We need to make this an *event*. A day in history.

But I'm thinking more along the lines of logistics. I think we have a lot of great ideas, and I'm surprised I've never seen anyone use mine before =P but oh well =)

The internet will come up with slogans, and this place will probably get crazy, so we should all just accept the fact that it's going to be madness. The most important thing (imo) is that we talk to people face-to-face (or chat to chat), about the issues, and teach them about Ron Paul. Slogans are good but not the deciding factor =)

Because in 2016 he'll be too damn old

this is just a horrible one. I was going to say "or we'll be too bankrupt" to put a positive spin on it, but I'll just point out that this is just not a good one.

If Ron Paul doesn't win in 2012, it'll probably be Obama, or POSSIBLY Mitt, depending on how bad people hate on Obama.

Mitt doesn't know what Ron Paul does, and though things might get *slightly* better under Mitt, it's no comparison to the massive benefit America would receive under Ron. Ron Paul is the ONLY way we can turn our lives around.

In 2016, it with either be Mitt holding office or both a republican and a democratic primary. I *do* think by 2016, it would be much more challenging for Ron Paul to stage a run, since he would be facing twice as many opponents in the primary race. His age has nothing to do with it. It's just unrealistic.

So not only is your assertion unrealistic (who could look that far in the future?), but it leaves the person with the subtle perception Ron Paul is old, which is an image we want to AVOID! That is why he is Ron Paul, The Rock Star!

Just trying to critique! =) Don't take it personal =)

Vote Ron Paul 2012

Because in 2016 he'll be too damn old

Which gives people room to say: if he'll be too old in 2016, then we're essentially being asked to support a one term candidate.

A Republic, if you can keep it: Ron Paul 2012

“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”
_______________

(fyi) : The response is attributed to Benjamin Franklin—at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787,
when queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation—
in the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention.

McHenry’s notes were first published in The American Historical Review, vol. 11, 1906, and the anecdote on p. 618 reads:

“A lady asked Dr. Franklin Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy. A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.”

When McHenry’s notes were included in The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787, ed. Max Farrand, vol. 3, appendix A, p. 85 (1911, reprinted 1934),
a footnote stated that the date this anecdote was written is uncertain.
______________

I think it's great . . . I'm sure it will be used on a poster very well.
