But his time has passed. If there was anything that struck me coming out of CPAC 2010 this last weekend, it was a feeling that Ron Paulís fans need to focus less on a 74 year-old mediocre Congressman, and more on how to actually affect real change in the political process.

Paulís victory in the CPAC 2010 presidential straw poll only serves to immediately diminish the impact that CPAC could have on providing conservatives with some direction on who some of our future national leaders might be. Ron Paul certainly wonít be one of them. Iím not saying that to be critical, itís just a fact.

We need a negative press section or something.

Damn, people are really hating on Ron Paul. This is what happens when you present something new rather than the same ole status quo.

Why did you put the cool smiley on the thread?

"was a feeling that Ron Paul’s fans need to focus less on a 74 year-old mediocre Congressman, and more on how to actually affect real change in the political process."

Uh, what do they think we are doing? Sitting around watching youtube videos of ron paul with puppy eyes, drooling all over our keyboards while we hack online polls?

I thought it was the "Can you believe this shi*!?" smiley :)

That, indeed, is exactly what "they" think "we're" doing.

"Unlike all of the other Republicans, this Republican is opposed to big government corporatism, and the large media conglomerate that owns us doesn't like that."

Naw...that'd be a little too honest.
