"mediocre congressman"

That's all his argument amounts to (plus the old earmarking complaint), and yet it took the wanker several paragraphs to get to it.

Ron Paul is a major national figure with substance, how dare he say that.

what other GOP congressman do you see in the news? Ron Paul has more press than the GOP leader in the House, John Boehner

Ron Paul kicks Romney and Palin's collective asses and so, he sucks? These people are impossible.

I guess since Romney won the last 3 CPAC polls, he is 3 times past his prime?

Can we move this article somewhere else. I'm tired of seeing it here.

Ron Paul's age is the only thing that gives me pause about a presidential run. After 80 things can get tough in a hurry. I was really hoping another would step up that could fill the void for 2012. If Ron Paul runs his VP pick must be flawless.

Ron Paul is in great shape for his age. He eats healthy and exercises and doesn't smoke. Plus both of his parents lived into their 90s.

Ron Paul/Andrew Napolitano 2012... and then Napolitano 2016!

The author seems to have some confusion on his stance on earmarks.

It was cleared up in the second comment down.

Ron Paul is the Prime.
The standard by which all others are judged.

If they're harping on the age issue, it's really great news. Think about it. They know he's going to be a force to deal with and people will be more receptive to what he has to say.

Agreed. They're basically saying, "he's popular, and he won that poll, and he has lots of supporters, but he is too old."

Doesn't sound like they have much of an argument

"His dovish stance on the war on terror and his support for earmarking (the gateway drug to huge spending) won’t wear well with newly inspired activists worried about federal spending and the debt"

how will his dovish stance on war not wear well with activists worried about spending and debt.

that makes no sense. does he think we get PAID to fight wars?
