Sarah is still beating him by 1 percentage point, so far. That's seriously screwed up. Palin fans are idiots if they think she should win when she didn't even take the time to show up. She was beat miserably and deserved it. I wonder if these are the Palin fans answering that poll:

"Nearly 3,000 votes were cast in the straw poll, the most in the history of the 37-year conference, but that number represented only a fraction of the approximately 10,000 people who attended CPAC.

"

and that fraction is 30 percent lol

Eh. If the poll is stupid, worthless, and not representative of who gets the nomination, they should be happy Ron Paul won...right?

So, I guess the CORRECT answer to their question would be ANYONE EXCEPT RON PAUL.

We shouldn't play unfairly. Let the votes be organic. We'll win anyway. :)

"and in other news, winning the Politico poll asking "Who should have won the CPAC straw poll, was Other at 63%. This was a significant victory over Ron Paul who came in second with only about half as many votes as the front runner, with a mere 37%. The Politico polls are often seen as a better bellwether than the formally administered CPAC Straw Polls per expert pollster Frank Luntz...."

Agree 100%. Why did we get a reputation for poll-rigging in the first place? Because of the 1% of us who were actually poll-rigging. Now it's persistent, even when rigging is impossible.

Just keep it around the actual margin of victory.

We don't need more 90% polls... smacks of Saddam's electoral "wins".

Ron Paul is at 40 percent. Either people are voting multiple times (like the notoriously corruptible AOL polls), or we are getting some help from somewhere other than RPF.

Could it be that Ron's catchin . . . —nah, that's not it.

Is it?

I hope and pray nobody is poll-rigging. It's counterproductive, for one, and saddles us with a bad reputation that they used to smear us when we win legitimate polls like CPAC.

It also deprives us of a valuable measure of our strength and progress.

You'd think there'd be a way for them to make it where you can't vote more than once. I suggest we go more by polls that require registration to vote. I know how many people feel about having to register with websites (I don't like it either), but it seems to cut back on rigging, even if only a bit.

There was a time when all you had to do was delete your cookies and you could vote in AOL polls over and over again. It was a joke.

It also deprives us of a valuable measure of our strength and progress.

This is true.

Over 11,000 people have voted with Ron Paul at 41%. That is about 4500 people who have voted for him.

There are supposedly 377 views of this this thread. Your right, none of us need have voted.
