Political movement -- any of an infinite number of ways to manipulate European, African, Asian or any number of people ouside of the United States towards that which is in their best interest. For example, in order to manipulate South Vietnamese towards happiness, the communist North Vietnamese, by way of the Viet Cong, would go into the farming villages to snatch their young men so that they could then cut their heads off to display them on the ends of sticks speared into the ground. This method apparently helped the people choose the right path towards their happiness.

American movement -- a movement solely in the United States towards the self evident and unalienable truths or Truth the American Founding Fathers declared as a natural law in The Declaration of Independence. Any method leading the American people away from that Truth should be considered a false movement. Two such false movements are "liberty" movements and "equality" movements as these two civil rights are unspoken prerequisites (let's move on) necessary for a greater Civil Purpose.
