SOME CULTURES actually revere the wisdom that comes with old age.

Exhibit A:

The modern word senatorial is derived from the Latin word senātus (senate), which comes from senex, "old man". [1] The members or legislators of a senate are called senators. The Latin word senator was adopted into English with no change in spelling. Its meaning is derived from a very ancient form of simple social organization in which decision-making powers are reserved for the eldest men. For the same reason, the word senate is correctly used when referring to any powerful authority characteristically composed by the eldest members of a community, as a deliberative body of a faculty in an institution of higher learning is often called a senate.

hear hear ! age is not a negative issue unless they clearly demonstrate problems that can be associated with old age.. Ron hasn't shown the slightest problem and these things normally develop over many many years.

When questioned about his age, he should just say that apparently we need an older candidate that can remember what it was like before we lost so many of our freedoms, policed the world, had fiat currency and out of control debt and entitlement programs.

like Reagan, I think Ron will be a good sport and not make age an issue in the campaign. He won't hold their youth against them :)

I am 52 soon to be 53. I am in good shape and split my own fire wood every day. I run with a Rottweiler.
I followed that man on an uphill hike, for a little over a mile. He was steppin'.
Most younger folks couldn't keep up either.
He ain't too old. :D

Yes.

The average life expectancy may be in the mid 70's, but if Ron Paul has lived a healthy lifestyle for most of his life (and I imagine he has), he could be healthy and active into his 90's.

If wisdom or intelligence were requirements for being a voter in the modern USA, this would be great. As it is, we let people who consider "Celebrity" news to be the most important thing, thus our leaders in national offices are those who look the most like movie stars, or were once movie stars.
