This blog covers what happened to induce the homophobe to get up on the stage and deride Mr. Frazee (although I think he was just caught in the line of fire).

Timing is peculiar, just when Obama and some liberal neoconservatives are trying to introduce open homosexuality in US military, CPAC gets embroiled in this controversy.

Alexander McCobin, a member of Students for Liberty, an offshoot of the Rep. Ron Paul’s (R-TX) Campaign for Liberty,

Wha ?!?!?

Yes he was caught in the line of fire because of the connection between the booos and Ron Paul chants from the crowd. Frazee did not do anything himself.

I suppose in this case, it would be...with enemies like these, who needs friends?

Exactly... No matter how the story is painted it does not leave Jeff looking bad because Sorba looked like a moron for what he said. Not only that but he runs off the stage like a baby because he can not take the heat.

I don't see why libertarians care if gays are able to openly serve in the U.S military?

Is this an issue I haven't been informed on?

I understand "we" are "against" gay marriage, only because it is not the State's right to say who can marry and who can not, and that no marriage should be recognized by the State.

Largely correct. Marraige neutrality is the preferred position. The issue of gays openly serving, or continuing don't ask/don't tell, or even going back to a complete ban is moot because the main constitutional, Libertarian stance is that there should be no standing army in the first place, within which the status of homosexuals is debated.

This was a great moment. The libertarian student said he was glad CPAC allowed a gay group, and then this YAF guy started booing him. So, the audience booed the homophobe when he went up, and then he went on an anti-gay rant followed by a declaration of war against Jeff Frazee (despite him not doing anything.)

If you were there, the guy defending gay Republicans got more cheers than boos. The guy bashing gay people and Jeff Frazee got mostly boos. This was right before Ron Paul's speech and everything was running late, so all the RPers were there.

Utterly disgusting. I am so proud of Jeff and so proud to be a member of YAL. The audience reaction was encouraging, it sounded like one lone guy booing when he thanked CPAC for having GOPride there with most others cheering and applauding, and when Sobra was yapping it sounded like the entire audience booing. I hope it is indicative of where the conservative/liberty base is moving.

I actually felt sick to my stomach. McCobin did a great job, great to see excellent leaders among my generation.

That'd be way cool (the opposite of "gay", actually). They could have an all gay elite regiment called the 69th Rump Rangers. Or an all-gay double-MOS motorpool/medic (with specialty training in STDs) unit -- the Crank Mechanics.

Or how about an all-gay Air Force color guard unit in dress pinks, with two flag-bearers, both wearing a leather flight jacket, aviator sunglasses and chaps with nothing on underneath, one carrying a US flag and the other carrying a Rainbow flag, for marching in Gay Pride parades, nicknamed the "Flying Flaggots"?

Twenty years from now they can make a combination WWIII/homosexual fetish porn movie called "Shaving Ryan's Privates"?

Who cares what holes people prefer to use?

Who cares what letters of the alphabet they choose to call it when they insert fingers into round metallic objects?

MYOB and we all can enjoy our freedoms better.

More MYOB = More Freedom

Sorry, I'm a little lost. So, was the gay-basher a member of YAL?

No. Never heard of his group, but it seems like a rip off of YAL to me, called Young Americans for Freedom.

The person who thanked CPAC for having GOProud there was actually from Students for Liberty, YAL had nothing to do with it other than apparently drawing the ire of the homophobe Sorba. Apparently YAF only believes in freedom for those they choose to have freedom.
