Sounds likely. I will say it's bad timing. We are about to ramp up the second wave of the mortgage crisis as the ARM-A's start resetting, and you gotta know the finance pundits will point to this as though it caused the problem. thus leading to perpetually low rates, and possibly triggering the specter of massive inflation.

"Now see, Bernanke raised the rates a quarter percent, and a month later everything started collapsing again! I say instead of raising the rate to 0.75, we sould have lowered it to 0.25! That would have solved everything!!!" :rolleyes:
