I just had an idea.

We need a map where all Ron Paul supporters can register what city they are located in! As more people register for each city the "score" for that city would increase. There could be a competition between similar sized cities across the nation to get more people to support Ron Paul for President!

It would be a great way to encourage people to convince others to support Ron Paul!

I think we would need something custom.

Yes, but that is for groups. How cool would it be to see that there are 4 Ron Paul supporters on your street you didn't even know about? It would be even cooler if you could upload your picture and a short explanation about why you support Ron Paul.

I don't get it, but whatever.

RonPaulRegistry.com has something similar, but not in map form. You can search a list by city & state.

This is an EXCELLENT idea. All Ron Paul supporters should have a central location to declare their support as attached to our names. That way, the voting machines cannot magically ignore us and the media cannot discredit us as spammers (though I see less and less of this).

For those concerned with 'being on the list,' if one exists, we already have gained membership. So there is nothing to be worried about in that department.

That BuddyMapping site is awesome!

That is a tool we need to utilize!

Just imagine supporters of Ron Paul having competitions about how many new supporters they can have in THEIR town verses someone else's town!

I like this idea. I also would like a map that shows the people who not only support ron paul, but actually have committed to voting for him. I want to see a more quantifiable measure of ron paul primary support, not just anonymous internet and scientific polls.

also. the Ron Paul Rally Photo Site (http://ronpaulrally.org/) is pretty good, but I think it misses a lot of people who either don't want put a picture of themself and their information, or just don't know about the site.

I just found this:

http://www.buddymapping.com/maps/ronpaul

I put my marker there a few months ago, before it took hours for the member list to load. Does anyone have a slow load of that part of the page?

Yes, that page takes forever to load. Worse, it takes forever to close. I usually just force-quit my browser whenever I've been on it.

Google maps have a great database feature. go to google map mashups to see what people have made. There should be good ideas there.
