Any one know how the Cincinnati event went. I think, it would be hard pressed to compete with Nashville. I was stuck working and could not attend.

It was not as large but this was more Ron making a speech at the second ammendment foundation event, rather than a rally. There were still hundreds of cheering Paul supporters there. One of the things they were lamenting at the conference is the lack of young people involved in their movement, so they are very happy to see so many young people show up to support the Constitution and freedom. Some are stuck in the he cant win mode, some are stuck in the pro war mode. But we are changing that slowly but surely. The SAF is really a great pro freedom organization deserving of support and Ron gave a short but enthusiastic speech. And they even presented him with an award at the end, I think legislature of the year. We should have video up soon.

1575 was the official door count.

That makes Nashville the BIGGEST RON PAUL RALLY EVER!!!
(right in Fred's backyard too!)

is there any news coverage of Ron Paul in the Cincinnati event?

I was there!

Originally they were going to give us a little room, but we were so large that they opened up the room divider and the place was crowded for Ron Paul.

A few of us called the media to make sure they knew about the event. A few cameras came. I saw three professional cameras there and one Internet news person.

Overall, very positive.

At least two local news stations had cameras there. Will have to find out from the cincy group what news coverage came of it.

I was at the Cincinnati event. First time I've seen RP in person and I got to shake his hand! Maybe 200-300 (I'm guessing, I could be way off) RP supporters plus a couple hundred more who were attending the conference. The Cincinnati NBC affiliate had a clip from the event on their 11:00 news. Don't know about the other stations.

And they had to turn people away. Not really.

The building was built in 1920 something so they don't have modern "governmental regulated standards" for fire codes and such. Thus they have to be VERY careful about the amount of people they let in.

No one was "turned away" like the news said, but when the room limit was reached, they formed a line outside of people wanting to get in and let them in if a seat opened up.

I couldn't record the bit on the news. It was standard coverage - dark horse candidate with avid supporters who raised $5million last quarter. Clip of him speaking for a few seconds and a pan of the crowd.

A lot of our meetup members called local media before Ron Paul came and it paid off

2 signs made by the columbus ohio meetup made it on tv too. do you like the sign, a real patriot, not just a patriot act?

this one was popular too

feel free to use.

also note the award Dr Paul is given at the end of his speech. What a great organization SAF is.

What was great is that MANY of these supporters were armed carrying concealed handguns, and some were open carrying. Dr. Paul has never been so protected. I got to shake his hand there while packing a gun on my hip. Of course he was completely un-phased by all of it. Just awesome.

Best experience ever. Everyone, if you haven't seen Ron Paul in person, you gotta go see him!

Having been at both, I would say Nashville was considerably bigger, but it was a much longer speech as well.

That said, it was good to see so many of the Ohio people turn out.

If you bought a shirt there, that's me. :) We were selling the Constitution shirts out front.

We actually left the Nashville Rally just as Ron started to speak and went up I-65 at a speed I don't care to disclose to make it up there in time.

Our group (Pittsburgh) actually gets around quite a bit. We've had someone at the New Hamsphire event, Nashville, Cincy, and we'll have people at Michigan, Virginia, and in New York in this week. It helps.

Yeah, I got one of the White teeshirts you were selling. I should have picked up the Constitution one too. That was a great shirt.

Go to Michigan. Kari will be up there selling them. :)

Actually, you guys from Columbus should be sending a contingent, if possible.
