They just previewed the race on Fox News' "America's News HQ"

They said he's a serious contender going against the establishment candidate.

The best source other than Rand Paul himself, David Adams.

Can't wait, seemed like a very good interview from the snippet used on Election HQ.

what's at 6pm? Bret Bair?

Brent Baer and Special Report. I'm actually really worried that this will become a smear job by the neocon regulars.

If it's special report it will be a hit piece.

Britt Hume is notorious for that stuff.

Brit Hume is no longer host of Special Report.

I believe Bret Baier is the host of the Special Report. I don't watch his show but I don't think he is known for really slandering anyone.

If Rand wins and Medina wins, I think having the Governor of Texas for the 2012 presidential race will be a huge help.

Indeed you are. There is much I can learn from a seasoned veteran like yourself when it comes to the wiles of Rand Paul Forum posting decorum.

I am TVOing Rand's interview myelf!

They called Trey Grayson the establishment candidate. They showed Grayson slighting Sarah Palin. They called Paul libertarian leaning. They said Rand Paul is not afraid to ruffle feathers.

Overall great segment.

02-10-2010, 05:28 PM
Yeah, they gave him and Treyson fair time... actually more to Treyson. But they captured Rand Paul's anti-establishment credentials and Palin's endorsement. In this environment that's a great plus for Rand!

Could be good to snip that part

TREY GRAYSON INSULTS SARAH PALIN

Trey: "Kentuckians don't care about what someone in Alaska thinks"
Fox Anchor: "He is referring to governor Sarah Palin, who endorsed Rand Paul"

Anyone else notice that they're painting Rand Paul as the Tea-party republican and anti-establishment republican, instead of the libertarian republican? The not-so-subtle shift in adjectives will help him win this race. IMHO, the Sarah Palin endorsement facilitated the shift in verbage and renewed national media interest in his campaign. Score.

according to the reporters blog Grayson "defended" Rogers and McConnell saying when he calls out career politicians he says THEY are not part of the problem and got a standing ovation so I wonder if it's not too clever?

He's rather dopey and creepy if you ask me. And that finicky hand gesture dismissing the Palin endorsement reeks of elitest douchy-ness. :D
