I've been following Ron paul for about 18 months, well before the whole election process started.

I never imagined he would get so much support and it is amazing to witness events as they unfold.

It's very frustrating being stuck here in England because he is the first politician I've ever heard who actually speaks the truth. It's just incredible to hear a politician who doesn't wheel out the same bull. I just wish we had someone here who stood for the same things as RP

Here in the UK, we've grown comfortable with socialism and the do-gooders. We've had 60 years of it. It's a major problem. People have totally lost the concept of self responsibility, self determination and the self confidence to get on with their lives without the nanny state looking over their shoulder.

The way I see things, America is in grave danger of sliding down the same path. The success of Ron paul is an enlightenment, a truly joyous phenonomen. It is proof that there are still people out there who believe in those things that made America such a great country

My girlfriend is American and I'm hoping to visit the USA in the new year. I'd like to get in touch with any Ron paul supporters in Oregon during my visit. Let me know if there is anyone out there!!!

Hey Mattsa,
Good to hear a voice from across the pond. It's great that so many Englishmen and Englishwomen have been posting here lately-- you're not alone!

If you want to find Paul supporters in Oregon, just click on the city nearest to your girlfriend here:

However, you should also know that there are several Ron Paul supporter groups over in England! You can find them here:

It's so good to know that there do exist people across the world who know that Americans aren't all cowboys, that some of us, including some leaders, do understand fiscal responsibility and personal freedom.

I frequently read some UK news sites (BBC, Independent, Times, Guardian, Telegraph) and I don't know how you can stand it over there. Indeed, things are getting worse here, but indeed it hasn't gotten as bad as over there.

I'm a member of the London RP meetup group

It's not very well organised at the moment, support is a bit thin on the ground

This is without doubt, the most significant political movement since the civil rights movement of the 1960's

YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET

This movement will become huge even if RP doesn't win the nomination

Hey, that's wonderful to hear! :)

If you can, you should send e-mails (or even handwritten mails, that shows it's actually from Britain) to all the major news networks (and heck, even the GOP HQ) that explains how you'd like to see Ron Paul elected, because he is a maverick of integrity and rationality.

Good to hear of your support. You did have Mrs. Thatcher for 11 years. How do you compare her with Ron Paul?
