Where the #*&(#@$) is the NRA???
For the first time in 50 years a genuine 2nd Ammendment supporter is running for President and the NRA is DEAD SILENT!!!
The NRA ought to be screaming Ron Paul's name at the top of their lungs and putting every dollar they can muster behind him. WHERE ARE THEY???
If you are a member, an ex-member or thinking of becoming a member, call or email the NRA immediately and tell them they need to get behind Ron Paul now.
As for me, the NRA will never see another dollar from me if they don't back him now, because not doing so is proof positive I can't trust them to defend the 2nd Ammendment or any other part of the Constitution.

My understanding is they are controlled opposition and don't give their members the full story anyway. Probably smart to pull your support of them now, either way.

Gun Owners of America is probably a better option. Either way, I'm frankly surprised that there's not much mention of RP on any of the pro 2nd amendment sites.

Also, it seems like the usual voices such as John Lott (http://johnrlott.tripod.com/) and Liberty Zone (http://www.libertyzone.blogspot.com/), etc. are pushing for Fred Thompson. Urghh.

I try "educating" them on RP's flawless 2nd amendment voting record by posting appropriate comments in appropriate blog entries whenever possible in the hope that some of their regular readers will latch on.

Also, I don't really know of any shooting related forums per se except perhaps http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/ - I've tried spreading the word there and found some other RP supporters in there. However, there's still a lot of gun owners who are definitely falling for the "Fred Thompson is our saviour" bullshit. They just need educating some more.

i hope there is nowhere to vote for a day or two. i want more time now to tell people about RP. if you order anything on the internet or telephone, sometimes you can fit in a small conversation about the presidential candidates. careful not to overdo, though, as their calls are sometimes monitored.

The NRA will NOT endorse Ron Paul. I really wish they would but they will not. The NRA has really gone downhill in the past decade. They have a conservative agenda and it does not include "liberal" thinking persons. I do not recommend joining the NRA or you will be bombarded with unrelenting spam to the "n"th degree. However, I do recommend exercising your 2nd amendment right. I will not be renewing my membership out of disgust for their tyrannical style adminsitration. What they do to their own members is disgusting.
