Actually, as much as I dislike Chris Matthews, today I heard him say something quite profound about Sarah Palin. " Nothing is scarier than an empty vessel in power."He then used GW as another example of an empty vessel.

Lets hope they talk about foreign policy issues, then it shouldn't be a pissing match.

I can't watch this health care segment too much longer, I just had dinner and don't need to taste it again

Health care? Nevermind, she'll follow the party line.

I wish we could somehow get the war hawk right and the anti-war left to merge so they get the good qualities of each other..

I think they're mostly going to talk about the tea party phenomenon, but who knows.

She might talk about that, but Ron has that uncanny way of connecting the conversation into anything he wants to talk about.

... he should answer her questions more directly

Man... she asked him a question about Rand's endorsement and he totally went off on a tangent about his own campaign and foreign policy. He needs to at least stay in the ballpark of the question he was asked.

He's got a smooth way of avoiding conflict within the party or creating any kind of ammo for them.

Ron looked sleepy.

I like Maddow's interviews because she lets the guest talk unlike every other talking head on TV. With that being said RP needs to really cut down his answers. It seems he waters all his answers down and keeps going and going. Get to the point and stop!

Unfortunately, he wasn't so smooth this time. Hmm......he really didn't want to answer the question.

I bet he didn't want to answer. I think it'd be better to get Rand on soon.

True, but I'm wondering if they'll ever have Ron on again. Maddow only got to ask him two questions, and Ron didn't even really answer those two. I imagine her and the staff gave each other some WTF looks during commercial break.

Great intro from Rachel, even if Ron rambled like usually.

^Ya, she should have cut him off more and not given him as much time to talk

Ron Paul: "Everybody wants to join what looks like a popular movement and then they want to come in and try to influence that movement".

That said it all.

He's wise enough to avoid the traps and pitfalls but goes on to discuss the issue in a roundabout sort of way. He was very clear about the war agenda within the movement.

Agreed, I thought it was a good interview. The good "Doctor", was able to get quit a few of his talking points out in a basically, a short interview. Talking about what he stood for rather than get into a pissing match with the "TeoCon Queen", was smart.

He's sharp, he is concentrating on "his" message. Laying a good foundation for 2012.

Thought it was a really good interview. Rachel clearly respects him. Dr. Paul, in his usual, unpolished, grandfatherly way, made very good points.

I didn't mean it in a negative, simply that it is usually his speaking manner to ramble on and bring about every bit of knowledge he has to a subject while going off on many tangents. As for Rachel, the intro was great, as was her reserve for allowing Ron to speak.
