Jason’s political activism began after he personally witnessed the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center. Within two weeks after the attack, anti-war protests began on the streets of the city. Determined to “stand up” for his country, he sought out like-minded conservatives with whom to associate. He joined the NYC Young Republican Club and became their unofficial leader of conservative street activists. He also became head of the NYC chapter of Protest Warrior. Their mission was to counter the anti-war movement with pro-American activities. In 2003, he became a volunteer for the campaign of George W. Bush and worked tirelessly to support the President in a very Democratic environment.

His bio indicates he may not be for a generally non-interventionist foreign policy.

Seems to hit the right notes otherwise.

Yes, a very good speaker. Sometimes folks who can justify senseless death with passion can be dangerous. I'd like to believe this man has had a complete change of heart on the war issue, but I sure wouldn't take any chances with my vote.

Quite, I'm glad you posted it. We are all wary of being co-opted, particularly on the tea party front.

In interpretation, for starters. You'll get as many answers as people, but I would say the cornerstone of libertarianism is the non-aggression principle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-aggression_principle) - the idea that one is free to act to the extent it does not infringe another's ability to act freely. Many libertarians, I believe, would say that the Constitution aims to protect that - for the most part.

The point in the video, that big book he held up, was that the Constitution has been interpreted to give the federal government unlimited power. A 'Consitutionalist' would most often believe in a strict interpretation, with very limited federal government, and would get agreement, in large part, from an average 'libertarian.'
