Hopefully the local press was there.

You get the feeling that the Tennessee press would run with a "Look at what's happening on Fred Thompson's home turf!" kind of story.

That picture with the circles around the people at the Fred "rally" makes it look like they have space helmets on like in the movie Mars Attacks.

It was a great rally! I was in the section directly across from where the balcony pics were taken.

War Memorial holds about 1600, so it was almost full, and very enthusastic.

Channel 4 news had the rally as its lead story at 5, I'm about to check out the other channels at 6.

Thanks to everyone who came out, it was awesome! When Lew Moore got up at the end, he said the number of people who attended was 1440 but that was actually too low. We later learned that the count was actually 1575 and they had to close the doors because the venue was at capacity - so a few people had to wait outside and were not let in until someone else left.

The 1440 number came from some of the campaign staff who estimated the crowd size. The 1575 number came from the employee at the War Memorial Auditorium who was responsible for managing the usher staff so this is a very accurate number.

So 1,575 is the new number to beat! I challenge the next city to beat Nashville. When someone does, I will send them a case of really good beer so that they can celebrate. :)

The venue accommodates around 1,600 but we had to remove about 50 chairs to make room for the press so I don't think the number was too big.

Yeah I didn't buy them for the silver value, for me the jury is still out if what I receive will be pure silver or a silver alloy of some sort---but whatever the case is, they will be a terrific marketing piece when I roadtrip to Iowa in a few weeks. I only purchased the special ones as I think they'll appreciate in value once Ron wins the presidency next year.

David Perry, Steve Thurman, Laurel Parton, Cheryl Scott, Caleb Plain, Nimitt (I dont know his last name) and many others were all responsible for putting this on too. A team effort for sure!

1575 was the official door count.

Great Rally Nashville!!

I am a very cynical man with a pretty good helping of bitterness thrown in. Over the course of this past summer I have found myself reduced to tears hearing the National Anthem and at the site of the American Flag. Thank you, Ron Paul, for showing me there is still reason to love America.

I think it was around 7 tables of 8 ppl per table.

Would guess somewhere b/t $35,000-$50,000 total raised.

I did not get there early enough for it though :( so I was just relaying what a friend attending told me; So David will probably have to give a more accurate update.

The rally today was AWESOME, as usual. Full house!

After it was over Dr. Paul came down into the audience and was literally swarmed with people wanting him to sign something, whether a shirt, a slimjim, a homemade sign, and to shake his hand, get pics, etc. He seemed to have very good security. He, of course was very gracious to do as much as he could.

However, Dr. Paul seems to be very conscious of his schedule and no doubt he was due to get on a plane for Cincinnati.

My most favorite part of the rally came after the rally, when my son and I were tooling our way back to our van on the beautiful, broad sidewalks of Nashville. I was going on and on gleefully to my son about how wonderful the rally experience had been, when what do we both see at the same time?

At four o'clock sharp, coming around the corner in a white Honda minivan, there was a man smiling broadly at us from the passenger seat. Guess who it was? Ron Paul himself, no doubt saving money by having Rand drive him to the airport!

We love you, Dr. Paul! :)

Yes. I hope Atlanta gets a rally and fundraiser going soon.

Atlanta has the resources to blow Nashville out of the water if they do it right.

If a Ron Pauler knows the right people, they can raise $250,000 in a day. Put 2 events in Buckhead, 1 in Midtown, and 1 in Alpharetta and they can easily have the biggest draw of both money and people yet.

Atlanta needs to get an event organized and Ron Paul needs Atlanta. Nashville has shown us what southerners are capable of.
Lets fill up the whole damn Phillips Arena!

Yes, it is.
Now we just need to get something like that on the national news.

Well I hate to bring it back up again, but if we can get Paul back 200 miles to the SE, it is the home of CNN.
I just loved Nashville soo much I want more people to experience it.

That picture of the Fred rally? It is clearly a picture of Fred Thomson, but nowhere do I see either a banner, sign or picture of Ron Paul! I looked all over the picture and I am sure there are no Ron Paul signs to be seen over Fred's shoulder or in the background. Someone is falling down on the job here. :D

It looks like the Nashville rally was awesome. I am planning on being at the Philly one.

I am claiming that case for Atlanta.. I will bet we could fill te Fox,.

Best Regards

Awesome!!!
I just got back home from a meeting following our sign waving at the Clemson vs Virginia Tech game, sunburnt and tired as hell, and seeing that Ron drew 1500 plus in Nashville is incredible.
I think we might have to start booking stadiums after this one! Imagine Ron in front of 20,000+ supporters :D

I watched the news casts footages and am going to settle into the 7 part playlist now before I pass out for the night.

Yes, it is.
Now we just need to get something like that on the national news.

we need to keep growing the way we are growing. the MSM will be obsolete in politics once he's elected and will never support him in this way.
