This article says Ron had 30,000 donations this quarter. That would put him at an average of $166 or so per donation. On TV (Good Morning America) Ron said they had 40,000 NEW donaters and that the average donation was $40 (that would put the number of donations around 125,000!). What's the correct number of donations/average? Or was he talking about the median donation or something? $40 seems really low for raising 5 million this quarter...

It says Romney had 23,000 donaters this last quarter. Now, I could understand Paul having 7,000 more than Romney, but more than 5 times as many? Now that just seems wrong...

I read the $40 average donation somewhere too for what that is worth (not much.)

If 40 dollars is the actual mean average then that is really impressive... like, beating Hillary for individual donations impressive?

FTA: "Romney collected contributions from 23,000 new donors between July and September, bringing his total number of donors to 100,000, the campaign said."

So, Ron had 17,000 more new donors and 25,000 more donors overall? That still seems huge. Did Ron have more donors than Romney last quarter? Because by this math it would mean that last before this quarter Romney had 77,000 donors and Ron had around 85,000.... I think I would have heard about this....

maybe I should just wait until Q3 is officially released?
