I am new to this site and this is my first post/thread so if this is not the correct place for this forgive me. Anyway, I have spent the last year reading and learning everything I could. I have read books of all sorts of topics like Human Action, the Anti-Federalist Papers, The Heritage Guide to the Constitution, New Deal or Raw Deal, Common Sense, End the Fed, The Real Lincoln, etc. I was just wondering if any one had any other good books I could read. I am especially weak in the areas of American-Middle Eastern modern history, the progressive movement, and law.

I am especially weak in the areas of American-Middle Eastern modern history, the progressive movement, and law.
One of the few books on foreign policy I've read is Legacy of Ashes by Tim Weiner, I liked it / found it interesting.

If he wants to know about American-Arab relations I would recommend Killing Hope: American Military and CIA Interventions since WWII by Blum. It is an awesome book, and Chomsky recommends it. Chomsky knows his shit when it comes to Foreign Policy.

I've never read a Michael Scheuer book, but he's an expert on Middle Eastern relations so they probably contain a fair bit of modern history (mostly from a foreign policy perspective). Good luck finding a book that doesn't have any bias against Islam.

That's good, also Through Our Enemies Eyes.
Economics In One Lesson (though if you read Human Action it might be unnecessary)
I just finished Nation Of Sheep, I recommend it.
I was just about to post a thread about book suggestions. I went to Barnes & Noble last night and I found their selection to be absolute shit. They only had one book I was looking for, New Deal or Raw Deal but I ended up picking up American Lion.
Has anyone read Lincoln Unmasked? I'm wondering if I should get that or The Real Abraham Lincoln.

They're both excellent. If you have to choose one, get the one that has the lower price or is more convenient to obtain.
If all is equal, then get the Real Lincon be Linoln Unmasked is a followup to it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just wish I could read faster. At best, I can only get through a book a week. That puts me around 5 books a year. Just too slow.
