Denmark Vesey Was a Terrorist - Southern Avenger

Using public funds, the City of Charleston is planning on erecting a statue in a public park honoring Denmark Vesey, the mastermind behind the largest planned slave rebellion in US history in which he called for the killing of all whites including women and childre, the burning of Charleston, and capturing ships for escaping to Haiti. This announcement has caused quite a stir here in Charleston and I must say SA puts it in an interesting perspective.
