I'm still waiting for Gingrich to actually do the old one.

I researched Gingrich's rise to power, and it really disgusted me. This guy has always been one of the worst politicians of our time in Washington.

Holy krap those contracts always work out, it's funny how they forget about them when they have a majority in every branch of government. No instead of the contract being fulfilled they bombed the living krap out of the middle east

Anyone with the capability to discern what is going on in this country will quickly realize that NG is the perfect successor to BO. It's not rocket science. The perfect storm is brewing and the PTB will ride it right back into The White House and nothing will change in their plans.
From Hope and Change (lies) to Hope Changing back into what it was before? (More Lies)
Is there any Hope whatsoever?
The real question I have is, what do they really want?
Obviously it is not Freedom and Liberty as The Founders intended when they created our Republic. Neither Hope and Change or the perfect storm of Hope Changing to something politically different in the skin equates to Freedom and Liberty in my mind.
Is it Democracy? I think not.
Is it Socialism or Communism? I'm not entirely sure.
Whatever they have planned for us here, I have to think it is something different, something much larger in scope than anyone has ever seen on this Earth.
Newt is the next logical choice.

This time the Liberty and Patriot movement has seen whats at the end of his contract. No thanks. We are going to kick their ass along with the democrats.

We already have a Contract With America, it's called the Constitution.

Newt's Contract in 1994 was successful, in that it worked to co-opt the momentum of the term limits, land rights, militia, 10th Amendment, etc liberty movements of the mid-'90's. It derailed all those efforts, and pulled all the focus back to the left-right paradigm, whereupon Gingrich fell on his sword and led the GOP to its cave-in to the Clinton regime after the OKC bombing.

Newt's new Contract, clearly, is an attempt to short-circuit pro-liberty dynamics of our time, from the Paul movement, to the tea parties, to end/audit the Fed, the state sovereignty efforts et al, and once again replace it with a counterfeit agenda. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Is the Constitution a contract though? Lysander Spooner would argue differently.

I am sure he will likely fool people again by calling parts of it something like "welfare reform", since who could be against that. Lest we forget it was his "welfare reform" that setup federal tracking of every single American regardless of if they ever received welfare. I am speaking of the new hires database that requires all employers to report ALL Americams if they are a new hire to the federal government.

In case they need to collect anything such as taxes or child support they know where to find you. They use phrases like "it is for the children". Meaning in case you ever have a child and do not pay CS they use the new hires database to find you.

Now people here are always outraged and rightfully so about the national ID. Yet you never here about the federal new hires database which is essentially the same thing which they got in under the radar. I would expect Newt to do similiar things with the Contract 2.0 and use terms that every one loves to slip in nefarious legislation.

We already have a Contract With America, it's called the Constitution.

This.

This Newt Contract 2.0 just stikes me that he is aware the GOP will sweep into victory in 2010 (purely on account of Dem blowback) and wants to take credit for it in 2 or 6 or 10 years from now.

You know, the exact same thing he did with Contract 1.0 -- saw a rising tide of knee-jerk blowback and jump ahead of it with a lie so he could later take credit for the victory.

I was waiting for someone to bring that up. Well, all politicians must swear to abide by and protect it, so, they are making a verbal agreement, or contract with the people to follow it to the letter.

I'm not sure the Republicans will take back the House in 2010, but if they don't, they won't be off by much. I just hope some of our candidates get swept in on the wave, then we win, no matter what Newt Gingrich thinks.

We already have a Contract With America, it's called the Constitution.

Newt and many others bank on the fear they spread, sorta like:

"The Constitution? Sure, that'd be great but let's be real, we can't be too safe, let's make sure we run an "R" with a chance to beat a "D", this contract will keep the "R" honest while assuring a "D" doesn't win. Never mind the continuous slide down the chute, really with all the scary stuff in this world it's the best you can hope for"

Screw 'em, we know better than that, it's our Constitution or bust as the state of our freedoms will attest.

Newt... :rolleyes::mad: *spit*
