Lovers of Liberty

I have made a deal with a local newspaper in NW Florida called the Bay Beacon. It is delivered every Wednesday to a mostly upper middle income bracket around the Niceville, Ft Walton, Eglin and Hurlburt Air Force Bases. All total it is $2,250 to get a flyer into each paper for one full run (circulation of 15,500.) I will be using these one thousand flyers plus 15K more on their way from Papergraphics http://bp0.blogger.com/_dGAlFMVvspo/RvmSrE89mMI/AAAAAAAAABI/S3503-5WfyU/s200/paul+flyers.JPG

I know we are almost tapped, but this area is brimming with a Libertarian mindset (R's usually win the house seat by a 70-30 margin) and the Bay Beacon is read by many of the older folks around here. Btw, I got Papergraphics to put 1-800-RON-PAUL on the card instead of dailypaul.com due to the estimation that the older crowd does not have net access.

Hi Capt. Are those the same flyers that are 5.5 x 8.5? Won't they get swallowed up by a full-sized newspaper?

I live in Navarre and have never heard of that paper heh.

No, they will look and work great. I put one in the Bay Beacon and it will work nicely.

$25 coming your way.

Folks, this is targeted towards older people. Hint: Older people have money.:) This seems like a good way to get that campaign donation meter to go up.

That looks like a bookcover.

Memoirs of a Statesman anyone?

What's the deadline on this? I'd like top chip-in a little, but I don''t have it right now. If it won't be too late I can probably kick in $25.00 from my next paycheck.

Nevermind, I see that it is Nov 3rd. Next paycheck I'll definitely send $25.00

That'll probably be ok, inibo. We still have a long way to go and it'll probably take awhile. :) Thanks for the offer.

Well if ronpaulhawaii, Liberty Eagle AND Lord Xar are behind this, I'll match their contributions as it must be a verifiable good cause.

Dear cowlesy,

This email confirms that you have paid deathtaxesnoles@yahoo.com (deathtaxesnoles@yahoo.com) $75.00 USD using PayPal.

Wow, I opened up the chip-in to see that I've already received four very generous payments. LibertyEagle, you are right about targeting older folks. A couple times a month I talk to people who have said, "I saw a picture of him/her in the Beacon." It is a hometown newspaper that lots of people read and talk about. The deadline set is November 3.

That's too small for anyone to read.

I can read the top one, it basically says that the median income in $68,000. The bottom one says that it has full saturation on delivery days (Wednesday), twice the normal daily paper in the area.

Let the older crowd hear who Ron Paul is! This is a voting subscriber base. Any little bit helps.

Thanks

Our meetup group is nixing the inserts, it is just too expensive. I'll hand out the flyers on cars and people I meet; I'll be at the FSU/Miami game tomorrow and a festival in Tallahassee tonight.

But here's what we are going to do: Found somebody with Adobe Photoshop. I'll edit the mosaic and then have it printed on 7 Nov. That's $700.

Our meetup group has designed a billboard: $299 a month for a very high bumper to bumper traffic road (Beal Parkway). We'll have that up by 28 Oct giving us three months of coverage.

So if you want to chip in use the same link: http://ronpaulnwfloridanewspaper.chipin.com/ron-paul-newspaper-bay-beacon-insert

I'll post pics of our exploits soon.

Josh

USAFCapt,

How are you planning to edit the mosaic for the ad?

I have been taping those flyers to the top of a chain letter and mailing them out in my area and others. I thought Sam Brownback supporters who have donated would be a good place to start too. Check out www.ronpaulremail.com
