Ron Paul endorsed State Sen. Huelskamp looking strong in Kansas 1st district congressional race

DODGE CITY – As of the end of the 4th quarter of 2009, Huelskamp will have grossed a grand total of $556,000 for his Congressional campaign -- and will report roughly $480,000 cash on hand.

"If you ask me, the astonishing thing is the cash on hand number," said Huelskamp fundraising consultant Erin DeLullo. A lot of campaigns raise a lot of money, but have little to show for it in the end. Senator Huelskamp has consistently demonstrated both the ability to raise money -- and the ability to spend it wisely. That's what you look for in a successful campaign."

That is great, I think I'll send him some fundage.

this district is GOP so whoever wins the primary wins the seat, he is apparently the front runner
but there is no polling. He has a lot of good endorsements

This is my district and I admit I have yet to do my research on the emerging candidates. But I'm quite encouraged to see a Ron Paul-endorsed candidate running with a strong war chest!

EDIT: Looked up his website real quick:

Of course he doesn't have his Foreign Policy stance on his site...

There's nothing on his site to distinguish him from mainstream republicans. I suppose that's intentional, but it doesn't give me any info.

It seems to me his "Issues" page on the website is a modification of his state-specific positions (as a current state senator) as applied to federal government and he may not have his positions on federal issues completely developed. I don't know.

When I have the time I plan on e-mailing his campaign to get his positions on foreign policy, monetary policy, and immigration. I'll try and come back to report my findings.
