Redlich was active as a Ron Paul activist in NY during 2008, and is connected to Jim Ostrowski (contributor to the LRC blog) and Trevor Lyman. The plan is for Warren to get the LP nomination in April, and also to run for the Republican nomination in the fall primary, directly appealing to the 39,000 Republicans who voted for Ron Paul in the 2008 GOP primary.

If momentum rolls right he might be able to smite the Lazio enemy, or at least get the 6-10% primary votes needed to shake things up, which may be enough to lead the NY LP in gaining permanent ballot status come the general election. There are others vying for the LP nomination who question Redlich's strength as a candidate, so we shall see.

I was ready to give up on my state thinking we would never see any change from the status quo of the identical two party big government candidates. Hopefully NY will be another shocker come fall.

From his website:

He was Ron Paul’s attorney in New York in 2008, helping make sure Ron Paul was on the ballot for the Republican presidential primary.

I would also like to see Jim Ostrowski run for senator, against Schumer.
