RICHMOND -- Virginia's Democratic-controlled state Senate passed measures Monday that would make it illegal to require individuals to purchase health insurance, a direct challenge to the party's efforts in Washington to reform health care.

Well it kind of helped when thousands of us (literally) walked into the general assembly at the same time to lobby lol. The Virginia Campaign For Liberty hosted a lobby day rally where thousands of people attended and after the speeches we flooded the assembly. The newly elected Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (who was endorsed by Ron Paul) was there to give a speech and he says he'll stand up for Virginia against the Federal Government if Virginia passes these bills. Supposedly the newly elected Governor has also promised to sign the bills if they pass.

Well congrats on your victory. The Dems here in KY voted down a bill that said it would be illegal for mandatory insurance and gun confiscation.

Definitely. The C4L is what got all this together. Although it was a coalition of different groups that attended the rally. It was all put together by the C4L, and it was the C4L that payed for the busing to the rally and everything.

Here's the website the C4L even payed for for the event.

Check it out. The C4L is what got the ball rolling on this.
