Now, more than ever, Americans are fed up with what is happening to our
country.

In the last year hundreds of thousands of people have participated in "Tea
Party" rallies across the nation to protest the bailouts and unprecedented
federal government spending.

The economy is in the midst of its worst recession in decades, with the most
optimistic economists predicting the economy won't recover until late in 2010.

Last year a confidential law enforcement eyes only "Strategic Report" on the
Modern Militia Movement issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center
(MIAC) on February 20th 2009 was leaked to the internet.

It states that members of certain groups of domestic "terrorist" organizations
are likely to be involved with the Libertarian Party or some other third
parties, or to have bumper stickers or other "political paraphenalia"
supporting Bob Barr, the 2008 LP Presidential Nominee or Ron Paul. The document
was to be used to train law enforcement officers. Where will they stop?

Last summer large numbers of everyday people showed up to oppose a government
take over of health care as members of the US Congress held health care forums.

A state sovereignty or states rights movement has been growing. In recent years
a number of states have passed laws opting out of the federal national ID
system called REAL ID. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon signed Missouri's law to opt
out of REAL ID last summer.

The Missouri House of Representatives passed a resolution last spring which
claims sovereignty for the state of Missouri under the Tenth Amendment of the
US Constitution for all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the
federal government under the Constitution. The resolution failed in the
Missouri State Senate.

A bill filed this year in the Missouri legislature would put on the ballot an
amendment to the Missouri Constitution to opt out Missouri from any federal
health care mandates.

Dissatisfaction with government, especially the federal government, has been
growing for years.

The success of the Ron Paul campaign for the Republican Presidential Nomination
shocked the Republican establishment. Ron Paul was the 1988 Libertarian Party
Presidentical Candidate, his message during his run for the Republican
Presidential Nomination was mostly a very principled libertarian message. He
raised over $35 million dollars!

The Libertarian message of personal liberty, economic freedom, free markets and
peace needs to be heard now more than ever.

And more and more people are interested in hearing our message.

The Missouri Libertarian Party is starting to have a real impact in Missouri.

There are now four libertarians elected to local office on City Councils and as
Mayor. They are making a difference for the cause of liberty. In the last year
local elected libertarians have helped defend our second amendment rights,
prevented eminent domain abuse, and stood up for civil liberties.

The Missouri Libertarian Party led a public relations and lobbying campaign to
push back against the Missouri Information Analysis Center Modern Militia
Movement report. First the paragraph referring to the Libertarian Party and our
Presidential Nominee Bob Barr was removed and an apology issued. Then the whole
report was pulled. The director of MIAC was removed. And finally, Missouri
House Speaker Richard formed a special committee to investigate the Missouri
Information Analysis Center.

Last year, a member of the Missouri Congressional Delegation contacted the
Missouri Libertarian Party to request a meeting. I along with two other
libertarians met with the member of Congress for an hour to discuss issues we
have in common.

The efforts of Missouri libertarians are starting to be noticed which opens the
door for us to influence public policy.

Now is the time to seize the libertarian moment.

And the Missouri Libertarian Party has a plan for success in 2010.

The overall strategy is to reach out to these disaffected voters, those who are
open to hearing about alternatives to the failed policies of the Democrats and
Republicans, and get them interested in learning more about the Libertarian
Party and our candidates.

Not only get more people to cast their first libertarian vote, but get active
in the party.

To grow the Missouri Libertarian Party voter base, volunteers, donors and
candidates.

The message to reach these dissaffected voters:

Are you... Fed Up In Missouri... with government and politicians?

To get this message out before the August 3rd primary and turn the primary
election into a referendum on how the Democrats and Republicans have led this
country to financial ruin.

The Missouri Libertarian Party officers and committee members can't do this by
ourselves.

We need your help to work for more freedom and liberty in Missouri.

If you have run for office in the past or have considered running for office,
this is the year to run for office as a Libertarian. Voters need to see up and
down the ballot all across Missouri that there is another choice. Candidate
filing opens February 23rd and closes March 30th. Please contact the Missouri
LP by calling 877-VOTE-4-US or send an e-mail to info@lpmo.org if you are
interested in running for office.

If you can't run for office the Missouri LP could still use your help as a
volunteer and your donation to help spread the Fed Up In Missouri message.

Now is the time to seize the Libertarian moment!
