View Full Version : Grayson Campaign Statement on Palin's Endorsement of Rand

In a statement, Grayson campaign manager Nate Hodson questioned if Palin knows what she needs to know about Paul.

“Secretary Grayson has a great deal of admiration for Governor Palin. We agree with her 100% that Kentucky needs a U.S. Senator who will shake things up in Washington. My guess is that if Governor Palin knew Rand Paul’s true colors she would think twice about offering her support of his misguided agenda. Paul’s support of pro-abortion policies, his plan to return terrorists to the battlefield, his opposition to our troops’ work in Afghanistan and his opposition to federal drug laws are just some of the areas where he finds himself hopelessly out of the maintream,” Hodson said.

I also think it's insulting for Grayson to challenge Palin's intelligence basically saying "No, woman, you don't know what you're doing and should know better than to be endorsing Rand Paul"

That doesn't matter. These posters don't speak for the Paul campaign like Hodson does for the Grayson campaign. This was incredibly stupid by the Greyson campaign.

That sounds about right. He thought he was going to coast into the Senate and it got taken away from him. His talking points against Rand are obviously not amounting to anything politically in Kentucky, so his lashing out is simply amusing and mostly damaging to his own campaign.

This whole lie Grayson is putting out about Rand being pro-choice needs to be squashed. Rand is pro-life and his campaign should counter by letting the people know Grayson was a Clinton supporter who nominated a rubber stamp of the far left to the Supreme Court, freaking Ruth Bader Ginsburg!

Seems like the Grayson campaign is all like "ahhh, we'll just sit back and watch Rand's campaign implode as people find out he's pro choice and pro marijuana!!"

Should be....any day now...

In a weird way Trey is like Hillary Clinton. He did his time in the party licked the right boots and expected this to be a cake walk to the nod. Then comes this young energetic guy (unlike Obama Rand has ideas that are different than the establishment) and knocks you out of your "expected" seat.

You gotta wonder if Hodson is gonna get another campaign manager job if things continue this way through the election.

And you gotta wonder if the smears are gonna cause him to not be so popular with the "activists" he was supposedly popular with prior to all this.

Hodson has left the Washington, D.C., office of Congressman Brett Guthrie where he has served as Communications Director since January. Hodson served as Finance Director on Senator Mitch McConnell’s successful re-election campaign in 2008. Previously, Hodson managed Secretary Grayson’s re-election campaign in 2007 and ran the Republican Party of Kentucky’s volunteer office in Northern Kentucky in 2006, which played an important role in re-electing Congressman Geoff Davis that year.

Congressman Geoff Davis commented, “Nate Hodson is a perfect choice. He works hard and is a very effective organizer. Nate is very popular among the Republican activists and volunteers who do the heavy lifting to get our candidates elected. Our priority needs to be keeping this extremely important Senate seat in Republican hands to act as a check and balance in Washington. It’s comforting to know that we’ll have a proven manager like Nate Hodson to help lead this effort.”

Trey Grayson stated, “Nate did a terrific job running a difficult race for me in 2007, and I am thrilled that we’ve been able to get him back for this larger, more important effort in 2010.”

Yep - it's called a sense of entitlement. The big-government types follow this ideology and it's quite obvious.

methinks tradecoat trey grayson might be thinking of the governor's run in 2011
and how many Democrats who will flock to his banner if he rants at poor Rand!!!
lets hope he gets the political epithany that he's more fit for a gubernatorial run,
and this is where his daddy's connections could have a political crazy-quilt unseat

Successful? Our Gov. has a 37% approval rating. He only won because he stood for Casino Gaming and he's not pushing hard enough for it. He's using the issue as an election tool.

Maybe "shaking things up in Washington" is some kind of code for "circle jerking" in certain factions of the Republican Party?
