This is for the Republican primary or the general?

Awesome, I'd like to see straw polls from every Republican club and 912 meetup group in the state. I bet the mainstream press and the GOP establishment would be shocked by the results. As I can can personally attest to from many of the folks I've talked to over the last several weeks, Debra's appeal already extends beyond the likes of us on these boards into the the living rooms of "regular" conservatives.

He's probably an OK guy to have a couple brews with and shoot the shit. He just shouldn't be governing anything or one.

Careful. That's how GWB got elected.

This is probably true of all people.

No man should have coercive power over another.

I don't think I'd like to have a beer with Huckabee, Romney, or Obama.

I met Perry back in 1999. Anyway, at the Texas Capital we got to meet the governer to be: Perry. He was mostly akward and quiet; and had a cold personality.

That was the real Perry in my opinion; and I would never want to "grab a beer with him".

No, NOT realizing that just COS you wouldn't mind drinking a beer with a guy doesn't mean they'd be a good president is why G-Dub was elected...

but on a personal note I believe I'd really NOT enjoy drinking a beer with Rick Perry... the dude was a cheerleader in college... I'm not a fan of cheerleaders...
