Judd Gregg supporting Bernanke...

Judd Gregg: low rates weren't the primary driver? Would higher rates have prevented it?

The breakdown in underwriting standards was because they were trying to make a bundle because everyone wanted to get loans due to the low rates, investors were eager to buy them and whatever product was created.

Without low rates, it wouldn't have happened.

with the dollar at its lows, and employment at its highs, how can Gregg defend Bernanke for failing on both primary responsibilities of the Fed?

oooh. Now we're all conspiratorial, huh, Gregg?!? I guess that includes the 313+ in the House who support HR1207?

Gregg = Fed shill

Judd Gregg is such a major DICK! I wonder how much they paid him to say all this drivel?

Mildly attacking Bernanke.

They will posturize to the millions of voters...but then confirm him anyway.

Did Dodd just say they are legitimate complaints about the Federal Reserve system?

I hope Bernanke goes down but regardless how this turns out, the fact that we're even having this debate on the Senate floor is victory, a small one but significant nonetheless.

DeMint sounded like RP up there. nice job. Sessions discussing Taylor rule was intriguing but, of course, Taylor rule is just another excuse to not let the free market determine interest rates. Sanders sounded like a socialist but ripped Ben anyway :)

Interesting to hear Brownback offer up an alternative (KC Fed president that cast lone vote against keeping interest rates at zero).

Dodd sounded like Bernanke and Paulson (and Bush) prior to the bailout
