View Full Version : Should I trust the "Tea Party Express"?

Hey Folks,

I've been away (Lurked here around 2007/8), and but recent
news events kinda got me back. (and my first post too!)

I have grave concerns over the "Tea Party Express" and other groups
which are trying to 'represent' what truly are independent voters (People who
don't care about party affiliations, they just want government to STOP GROWING).

The "Tea Party Express" really baffles me.
That's like trying to Unionize people who demand to be NON-union!

What made the Tea Party protests so successful was that there was NO
CENTRALIZED ORGANIZATION! It genuinely was a spontaneous grass-roots
effort.

Once you centralize ANYTHING, corruption invariably will follow suit.

I'm seeing the concerns grow in this forum and this is my fear:

Socialist/Democrats/R.I.N.O's/Neo-Cons will simply adopt a "Tea Party" facade
just to get elected...and once they do...out will come all the BIG GOVERNMENT
mandates.

Also: Ron Paul (and his message) will be damaged as the public will grow cynical
and accuse RP of being "Just like every other lying politician"

What can we do about it?

(I'm asking you, I'm at a loss here).

Glad to see this forum still kickin'

I support Tea Parties that promote:

1.) Limited Government
2.) Sound Money ( anti-Federal Reserve )
3.) non-Interventionist Foreign Policy
4.) 10th Amendment, Pro-Constitution

Uh, no.

Also, the Tea Party Express is a Palinesque organization, so as a rule we don't trust them.

But if you think any revolutions will happen without leaders, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Promote and vote are two different universes.

I remember one party (Canadian Action Party) the leader had the audacity to say the following:

YouTube - Connie Fogal of the Canadian Action Party on Ron Paul (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-NAMJS8dcY)

But if you actually READ the Canadian Action Party's mandate, it states as follows:

http://www.canadianactionparty.ca/policies

Guaranteed Liveable Income

Whereas:

A just transition to the sustainable and affordable public health and safety initiative is required to address the impact of climate change on Canadian communities.
A CAP government will implement a guaranteed liveable income.

Honestly, do you think Ron Paul would support this crap?

That's what I'm talking about. People will USE Ron Paul just
to further their own socialist bullshit.

moronpaul,

What are your political views?

Is this a have now or ever been, a member of the communist party?

I originally was a vocal support of RP back in the day, but fell off the radar
after I found too many people who supported RP...flat out didn't understand
his message.

Many people who are basically socialist/communists supported RP because they
liked the populist grassroots swelling...but flat out didn't understand that RP
was really a genuine constitutionalist.

So yeah, I began seeing a lot of "hangers-on" who simply used RP for their
own agenda.

Even though Ron Paul consistently (and quite clearly) stated that 9/11 was NOT AN
INSIDE JOB. I became sick of seeing the nonstop "truthers" come to this forum
and try to sneak in their crap by saying "Look, Ron Paul does believe 9/11 was an inside job!!!"

To answer your question: I believe nobody should be deified. Ron Paul is a human
being just like the rest of us.

I support the message, and don't care about the medium.

Next to burning the U.S. flag, taking a healthy piss on Ron Paul is about as American
as you can get (Try doing that in most other countries).
