Not in exact those words but on front page of You Tube, there is yet another video evidence of opportunist flip flop from Obama, the latest in a series of false promises on Gitmo, Iraq, liberties, parasite lobby and so on.

YouTube - Obama campaigns against spending freezes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyr2noZ57Ww)

His handlers lack leadership it seems, look like followers of the interest groups / media mood swings.

I don't hear him say he is opposed to spending freezes. He does repeat that he is not in favor of "across the board" spending freezes- and he has not proposed an across the board spending freeze. The spending freeze is pretty limited as a percent of the total budget.

WASHINGTON — President Obama will call for a three-year freeze in spending on many domestic programs, and for increases no greater than inflation after that, an initiative intended to signal his seriousness about cutting the budget deficit, administration officials said Monday.

The officials said the proposal would be a major component both of Mr. Obama’s State of the Union address on Wednesday and of the budget he will send to Congress on Monday for the fiscal year that begins in October.

The freeze would cover the agencies and programs for which Congress allocates specific budgets each year, including air traffic control, farm subsidies, education, nutrition and national parks.

But it would exempt security-related budgets for the Pentagon, foreign aid, the Veterans Administration and homeland security, as well as the entitlement programs that make up the biggest and fastest-growing part of the federal budget: Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

The payoff in budget savings would be small relative to the deficit: The estimated $250 billion in savings over 10 years would be less than 3 percent of the roughly $9 trillion in additional deficits the government is expected to accumulate over that time.

Republicans Told to Avoid "You Lie" Outburst

Republican leaders are warning rank-and-file GOP lawmakers to avoid a repeat of Rep. Joe Wilson's now-infamous "You Lie!" outburst during a presidential address to Congress on health care in September.

House Minority Leader John Boehner told a group of reporters Wednesday morning that when "you invite someone to your home you should be respectful and considerate," CNN reports.

According to the Associated Press, Wilson himself says he has "been getting plenty of ribbing from his family and colleagues leading up to Obama's big speech." He said not to expect a repeat performance.

Percentage of the budget is not the issue here, the point is that is there a pattern emerging where Obama makea false, opportunist promises to cash in on public sentiments/win elections or is he a leader who has a vision and convictions to follow thorough?

So far he appears little more than a self-serving, opprtunist puppet in the hands of his handlers whose only expertise is the area of tele-prompters. Oddly, Bush is starting to look like a better leader than Obama as horrible as he was for the public.
