* These are senators who have recent voiced their support for Bernanke recently:Bennett, Nelson, Byrd, Hagan.

* These are still undecided: Leahy, Udall, Cardin, Klobuchar, Thune

CALL THEM especially if they're yours or email them hard!

Cardin has cosponsored S.604. I think he may be open to blocking Ben without an audit. I am the chapter coordinator for the Baltimore chapter of Campaign for Liberty. I can press our chapter to call Cardin but I need a source of where you see he is yet undecided.

Tennessee's Lamar Alexander supports Bernanke. He went so far as to say were are "lucky" to have him.

Bob Corker (also from Tennessee) seems to be riding the fence.

Isn't Thune some kind of front runner for GoP candidate for POTUS? If he votes to confirm Bernanke I will fight with every fiber of my being to keep him from winning POTUS. Nobody should be POTUS who does not understand the evil nature of the FED.

Meet the old boss, same as the new boss.

Bernanke getting fired? Who cares. The FED getting fired? I'm game.

Yea of course, but just to send a message to slimeballs everywhere....the thing is this. If we get a responsible FED Chairman, and he hikes rates and we get the crashing of this new inflation bubble they have cooked up...it will then be said Bernanke had the right idea.

Better to let the economy do it's horrid thing on Bernanke's watch. Still though I can't support anyone who votes to confirm that POS....he has ALMOST single handedly destroyed the economy in recent years. He certainly has insured that we will suffer greatly, his rescue plan turned out to be the mortal wound for our economy and country.

One must wonder why? He is an educated man - surely he knows what he is doing.

The only other conclusion we may draw is that he does it on purpose, knowingly.

My letter to Senator Corker (undecided).

Dear Senator Corker,

I was pleased to hear that you have some concerns about Bernanke's renomination. I have grave concerns too. It's not just the shenanigans that have gone on with AIG.

It's also the arm twisting and deception Bernanke used during the Bank of American - Meryl Lynch merger.

Further I'm concerned about the statement from the head of the FDIC that the federal reserve actually helped CAUSE the current financial crisis.

Please consider supporting Senator Jim Demint's hold on the Bernanke nomination.

We need accountability in Washington now more than ever. The fed does not need the ability to act in secret just so that it can be independent. If there is a continued lack of transparency and accountability the American people may lose their faith in our capitalist system altogether. That cannot be allowed to happen. Do not let yourself be bullied by threats from people like Tim Geithner who claim the "markets will fall" if Bernanke is not nominated. People like him are very much part of the problem. As Jesus said, some prefer the cover of darkness in order to do their misdeeds.
