Rand's campaign should probably be made aware of this memo, as he is specifically mentioned in it, and I figure that somebody here knows somebody there.

Create sufficient pressure for your moderate opponents to be forced to weigh
in on the positions of your far right opponents. For example, Rand Paul
denies that the president is a United States citizen. Trey Grayson should be
pressured into stating whether or not he believes the same.

With one key exception, this sounds like they're gunning for us. Note the conspicuous absence of any foreign policy questions. Here's the article that led me to the memo, followed by their abridged version of the talking points.

Specifically, the DSCC wants Democratic candidates to pin down their likely opponents on several hot-button issues, including:

- Do you believe that Barack Obama is a U.S.citizen?
- Do you think the Tenth Amendment bars Congress from issuing regulations like minimum healthcare coverage standards?
- Do you think programs like Social Security and Medicare represent socialism, and should never have been created in the first place?
- Do you think President Obama is a socialist?
- Do you think America should return to a gold standard?

Do you think America should return to a gold standard?

Awesome! That's the debate the country needs! When the democrat says "NO", the guy in the street will think... wait, my money can't buy shit. Is the current system working?

It's amazing how an "It's impossible for me to know for sure" can be transformed into "The President was not born in America"

Stay classy DSCC. ;)

Just this:

I asked Rand if he thought Obama was born in the US and he said he didn't know. I followed up just to make sure, and he clearly stated that didn't know if he was, then awkwardly turned away from me and walked to the outside of the stage and stood in front of it. It was... bizarre. And I don't say that in a partisan sense, because I want Rand to give Grayson as much hell as possible in this primary, but... it was uncomfortable.

hoesntly, even if Rand was a big "birther," i dont think it would hurt him in KY

Obama is so unpopular here, I've honestly heard people saying (pre-election) that they were afraid he was the anti-Christ.

My Mom wondered allowed about that once...and I live in Canada. I don't think she literally meant anti-christ, I think she was just expressing a deep distrust.

Politician's answer: Of course he was...it's been vetted and gone over a thousand times.
Honest guy's answer: How the hell do I know? I think so? Were you there at the birthing? Can we worry about more important stuff?

Some "blog". Real reliable . PLEASE don't quote stuff like this in the future. It is not verifiable and it may be completely FICTITIOUS.
