International arrest warrants have been requested for George W. Bush, Richard (Dick) Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, George Tenet, Condoleeza Rice and Alberto Gonzales at the International Criminal Court, The Hague, Netherlands.

Professor of Law Francis A. Boyle of the University of Illinois College of Law in Champain, United States of America, has issued a Complaint with the Prosecutor for the International Criminal Court against the above-mentioned for their practice of “extraordinary rendition” (forced disappearance of persons and subsequent torture) in Iraq and for criminal policy which constitutes Crimes against Humanity in violation of the Rome Statute which set up the ICC.

Same Francis Boyle who said the United States was illegally occupying Hawaii?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Boyle

He also stated that the Bush administration "would welcome the outbreak of a Third World War" and "is fully prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons against Muslim and Arab states and peoples." He also stated that American treatment of Muslims and Arabs since the attacks of September 11, 2001 is "almost to the same extent that America inflicted upon the Japanese and Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor." He concluded his speech by calling on American lawyers to "lead the fight against the Bush Jr. dictatorship."[4]

No- it is just that the filing is of no more significance than the papers Orly Taiz files almost daily. That is why the US media isn't covering it. It isn't news since it doesn't mean anything or have any real effect.

We, the people of the US, simply need to IGNORE the ICC. Prompt execution of judgment for Cheney and Bush's crimes committed within the jurisdiction of the US should silence any call for supranational justice. We, the people of the US, simply need to faithfully execute the laws of OUR country as they constitutionally apply. We, the people of the US, should never indirectly or directly legitimize the ICC.

Funny that such a big event isn't mentioned on the ICC's web page:

Or am I not looking in the right spot?

requesting warrants is not that big of an event. the big event would be if they were actually issued.

in addition, some websites are updated more quickly than others. may be just depend upon when the webmaster or others feel like it.

I doubt that they would try to come get them here, but maybe some sanctions would be applied if our government didn't cough them up. but it would also mean that there might be certain countries that the accused wouldn't want to travel to or they might end up like Augusto Pinochet of Chile some years back -- BUSTED!
if only even temporarily.

The U.S. isn't a signatory to the Rome Statute.

Case dismissed.

no, you didn't read or didn't understand the article -- it mentions that but says there will be an effect anyway.
