...according to Peter Morici, a prominent hack economist-for-hire from the University of Maryland, on the POTUS Sirius station regarding the re-nomination of Bernanke. Morici claimed that Ron Paul is "the most dangerous man in America" due to his effort to abolish the Fed, which would "put the printing press in Congress' incompetent hands". Of course the stooge interviewing Morici doesn't challenge anything he says and lets him go merrily on his way. The POTUS channel is statist crap.

Well, some would say that any press is good press. Ron Paul is gaining such prominence now that he's even getting play on POTUS.

Indeed. One thing I've noticed about Morici is that his positions are all over the map. Sometimes he seems to be advocating for free markets and other times for Keynesianism and more regulation. I think he will say whatever the networks want him to say to fit their agenda.

I was enjoying listening to your interview on Sirius POTUS today, but I take offense at your attack on Ron Paul, calling him "the most dangerous man in America". I believe that "honor" actually belongs to Ben Bernanke, for he represents an institution that enables the insane malinvestment resulting in bubbles and busts.

We do not need Bernanke to unwind the untenable position we are in. We need men of integrity and principle like Ron Paul, who will stop engaging in crony capitalism with our currency to bail out their friends while we all suffer through inflation.

Perhaps you are unaware of Ron Paul's proposal for phasing out the Fed (you could try reading his bestselling book End the Fed). Rather than outright abolishment, he calls for legalizing competing currencies to allow the market to choose whether it wants to continue to buy the Fed's fiat money. I also don't see how you can legitimately oppose HR 1207, the bill to bring sunshine to the Fed's currently unaccountable currency operations. The Fed could use some scrutiny in my judgment, as the dollar has lost 93% of its value since the Fed took over monetary policy in 1913.

I don't understand how you can oppose the kind of crony capitalism so prevalent in Washington in half of your interviews, while in the other half going to bat for the same crooks responsible. When you defamed Ron Paul - I was compelled to respond.

Ron Paul should retaliate by explaining* how covertly Federal Reserve act was passed and things related to that event, they'd get the message. But if he wait for some more vicious attacks and then do it, that would be good too imo.
